Right now, I’m feeling really uncertain and worried about the future after Mist of Pandaria. The main question is: why spend so much time on alts, gear, etc. if there’s no future after MoP?
My doubts about the future are growing because of the really low numbers Mist of Pandaria is getting compared to Cataclysm Classic. There has been no substantial improvement from last week to this week, and the situation will not improve any further; in fact, it will get worse.
There is no cross-realm when it is needed, and I don’t want to reopen the LFR paragraph (also because people get 476 in celestial in 2 hours and won’t do it again until September, gg Blizzard).
What I wonder is how long the already very fragmented community can survive such fragmentation? Now the excuse is that “content has been released in retail,” but at the end of the year, TBC Anniversary will be released, and there will be fragmentation again, and at the beginning of the year, the next WoW expansion. I don’t see a bright future in this regard, even for “celestials” who remain solely and exclusively anchored to LFR gear.
I would like to know if there will be a future after Mist of Pandaria. Is it worth investing time to see Dreanor and then Legion? Can we have cross-realm support now to bring the world to life? (and even more so to LFG)? Knowing if there will be a future is the most uncertain thing right now. In Cataclysm, I was sure that MoP would be announced, and in the MoP prepatch, I was sure that we would get to Dreanor. Now I’m not so sure, and every week that passes doesn’t make it any better.
