Iâve suspected for a while now that all the people whoâve been complaining about the GCD changes have been the people using macros for everything, and a lot of whatâs said here seems to confirm that.
So basically theyâre complaining about having to engage with their gameplay more instead of lazily pressing a couple buttons to play their game for them.
The GCD change did such a tiny amount to default gameplay, Iâd be surprised if anyone outside the macro crowd actually noticed a difference. I only did because these morons just donât shut up about it.
I never used any macro, pressing a button, waiting to press another button, then wait for yet another button when popping CDs and THEN after youâve used 3 GCDs on CDs you can do damage. Thatâs not fun.
Who on Earth on their right mind pops CDs before starting dps? You get the ball rolling first before it can start pelting down the hill, so to speak. If you have dots, you get those on first. If you have resources, you make sure youâve got some built up to spend ready. I sure as hell donât pop mine until Iâve got good buffs from RtB up.
Charged up gives 4 arcane charges, you pop that and then you put rune of power down and then you use arcane power. Thatâs literally what arcane mages have to do when they pop CDs when youâre pulling.
Didnât Blizz already revert some of the GCD changes? Something with warriors, I believe.
During this expac Iâve played BM Hunter, Feral and Boom Druid, Havoc DH, and Retri Pala, and Iâve not noticed any of them feeling slowed, so either they havenât been or Iâve not played them enough to notice.
So if youâre problem is with Arcane Mages then make the thread specific to that, saying ârevert GCDâ doesnât tell anyone anything. Sure, you eventually got around to it but maybe edit your first post so that people know what youâre talking about right away.
Also, âthe majority of the player baseâ, never helps Blizz to understand where YOU are coming from. If Arcane Mages feel bad/slow to play for YOU then say that. Donât try to suggest that you know what the majority of us want.
