for the 5th day in a row we have had Server issues (ddos?) aound the same time with many deaths.
I lost my duo partner in one of the server disconnects, he drowned due to disconnect. he can’t be arsed to reroll, so now i’m kinda in limbo too. not sure if i can find the motivation to play alone.

Died myself with my 60 warrior because of ddos on ubrs run. Hope they roll back if not well, not gonna put anymore my time into it anymore

My brother died yesterday to this and now me today. He got a support ticket back saying ‘no restore’. Doubt they’ll restore us today either.

My friends characters died due to a DDoS attack (mass disconnect) while we were in the Black Mountain Depths dungeon. Not only my character died, but the entire group. Character names: Freeman, Dukanio, Apteka, Arthorias, Maclaud. The date and time of the mass disconnect: August 1, 2025, 23:08 server time. Server: Soulseeker. You have previously restored hardcore characters who died during mass incidents. Please restore our characters, as the death occurred due to a mass incident.

Yep. lost my 60 mage to this as well. The server can’t sustain these DDOS deaths. I for sure hope they revive those affected these last few days

Subject: Request for Character Restoration Due to DDoS Attack (Soulseeker – Horde)
Hello,
I am a member of the Soul of Iron guild — the first Horde guild on the Stitches server to defeat Kel’Thuzad. We have since moved to the Soulseeker server, where we are actively raiding and recently became the fastest Horde guild to clear Blackwing Lair.
During the night of July 31st to August 1st, we were helping our guild master farm quest items from elite dragons for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline, required for the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj.
Unfortunately, due to a DDoS attack, several members were disconnected mid-event. As a result, we lost two crucial characters: our lead healer Karterii and our off-tank Ordzig.
This unexpected loss has significantly impacted our ability to continue progression in AQ20 and AQ40.
We kindly ask you to investigate this issue and consider restoring these characters.

I am writing to you with the utmost respect and sincere concern on behalf of several members of our guild who have recently been affected by a critical issue during one of the most iconic and demanding experiences in World of Warcraft Classic – the Scarab Lord legendary questline. On [insert exact date and time, including server name and timezone], multiple members of our guild experienced unexpected and repeated disconnections during a coordinated attempt to progress through the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline. After reviewing available information and monitoring the server’s condition, we strongly believe these disconnections were caused by external Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks targeting the game’s infrastructure.
These disconnections had devastating consequences for our guildmates – several of them died in-game due to being forcibly removed from the world mid-event. As you are well aware, this questline is not only time-sensitive but also an extraordinary undertaking that requires immense coordination, dedication, and support from the broader community. Losing progress or the opportunity to complete it due to technical issues outside the players’ control is deeply disheartening. We fully understand the scale and complexity of dealing with such attacks and appreciate all efforts Blizzard continues to make to ensure server stability and player safety. However, given the extraordinary nature of the Scarab Lord questline and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity it represents, we respectfully ask if there is any way you could review this particular case. We are not requesting any unfair advantages or exceptions, only a fair consideration of the events that transpired due to server instability and player disconnections caused by malicious third-party interference. If any server logs, connection records, or timestamps are needed to support this request, we will gladly provide all relevant information and testimonies from affected players. We thank you in advance for your time, understanding, and continuous dedication to the World of Warcraft community.

Every day around midnight there are several disconnects. This is all very similar to the first series of disconnects, when you said that there was a DDoS attack. Please help players in restoring their characters lost due to DDoS attacks

Brothers and sisters, gather raids from your dead characters to walk around Azeroth. Perhaps this will make the main griefer “Blizzard” understand the scale of the tragedy as a result of the ddos attack.
