[Server Issue] Mass Disconnect on Soulseeker – 30/07 around 23:21 CEST

Two more DDoS attacks this evening. Blizz, either rezz people and fix this issue, or close the server entirely. No one is going to want to play if they’re going to have to run a 50/50 risk of dying to something far out of their control.

I actually don’t think these are DDoS. I think this something related to the server infra-structure or MoP release. It’s strange this has been a daily occurrence in the past days with hundreds of dead characters after the MoP release. The sad part is the lack of communication and interaction with the paying customer fan base.

I have also lost my character from the disconnects today, please restore my 38 rogue Nyanni on Soulseeker!

My lvl 48 warrior Extracute - Soulseeker also died on 30/07 at 23:23 CEST. After panicking I got a hold of a GM who tried to help by asking more details, a second GM simply forwarded me the next day to the US forums to make a post as this crash was ‘out of their scope’ -__-’ (which I ofcourse couldn’t do since I don’t have a lvl 10 char on US), after some searching I got here. I hope my character can also be rolled back for this silly dc server toast end to my adventure. Cheers

Still no communication or support from Blizzard regarding the wave of disconnections that killed dozens of characters on 07/30 around 11:21 PM.
There has also been no response concerning the more recent disconnection waves on 07/31 around 11:56 PM and 08/01 at 12:35 AM.

Its pathetic. Beyond pathetic in fact.

I havent played or re-rolled since it happened. What would be the point?

With the weekend now approaching my confidence is low. I am disgusted. And there are other games out there.

Same here.
I only logged back once to check on my bank alt, who’s safe in Stormwind.
I haven’t dared play my other characters since my lvl60 mage died on the evening of 07/30, too afraid to lose them the same way.
And honestly, that turned out to be the right call, since it’s happened several more times since then…

It’s the second character I’ve lost like this.
I can handle other types of deaths, but this? Enough is enough.

My subscription renews on August 17, but if Blizzard doesn’t take action on this, I’ll likely cancel well before that.

It’s happening every single night now.

After a little back and forth my ticket got ‘resolved’ yesterday after the following response from the copy-pasta spreadsheet:

I’m sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused you, as this is a strict policy of Blizzard Entertainment. In the event of character deaths due to DDoS attacks, the World of Warcraft team may elect to revive Hardcore characters, but this is not guaranteed. In such exceptional circumstances, an announcement will be made in the WoW Classic Hardcore Forums.

Characters who have transferred to a non-Hardcore realm will not be revived.

Harder for me. Im on a 6 month rolling re-sub.

I tried to cancel and the web wouldn’t make it clear if my 5 months remaining would be honored if I changed my mind.

So Iv put a 6 month pause on my renewal in case I pop in to play Retail (unlikely…) in those 5 months.

But I’m DONE with Blizzard now. And Im DONE with Hardore if the endboss isnt KT but Blizzard itself.

But I love this game.

And I also feel no shame posting here on the official forums I have now downloaded and am playing TurtleWOW after never giving it a look all these years Iv been subbed.

Im not sure Turtle is for me really. But will play it out till endgame. Then if it really isnt for me will just migrate to a pServer for classic.

customer support cant and wont help …

I asked the same for my 2 months sub and after 1 hr of playing the DDoS happened to me… Since I played more than 1 hour its ‘GG’ according to fantastic customer support… I have no motivation to run it back if, like you said, Blizz is the end boss and not KT
