I played a gnome mage (Fizzlebolt) when the first wow classic servers came out a few years ago, i dont remember on what server anymore. anyhow , after raiding the ragnaros raid i quitted my subscription. A few days ago i renewed my subscription to start playing classic to find my character moved to a WOTLK classic server Mograine. I did some research that this server is not only WOTLK but also for more then 99% horde and important to mention also a PVP server. When i played classic with my mage i was -playing on a thriving PVP server for an allience gnome mage. Now iam playing on a dead (dead for allience) server with lots of hordes in a PVP server wich means i cant really play with other people cause there are non on the allience side and cant play outside cause i get ganked by the many hordes who are playing (server population is indicated in ‘‘high’’ and according to sites as warcraft tavern and dexerto for almost a 100% inhabited by horde characters ) . I feel its not my fault as a player who want to get back in the game that i should pay te price of a charactertransfer for blizzard merging a few dead servers together and would say that allience characters on this server deserve a free realm transfer. Let me remind you that i payed for a subscription already to play on a unplayeble server cause of the lack of players to play with on the ally side and the amount of hordes on a pvp server.
Have in mind that no one is reading EU forums. That being said - even if you write an ingame ticket they’ll pretty much answer something like this - “Sucks to be you. You can always pay for a transfer” without even reading your whole message.
Customer support cannot provide you a free character transfer. Your options are paid character transfer (they frequently go on sale) or free transfer to Hydraxian Waterlords low population RP server.
I did make a ticket and indeed got this answer. But they asked me to make a topic about it so that maybe the realm wil get availeble to a free server transfer if enough people are experiencing this problem. And ofcourse i know i can pay but i feel this isnt fair as iam a paying customer already and i may be expecting a nice gaming environment without paying even more for a transfer…

Over the years a lot of people paid for transfers to move to other servers, particularly Firemaw for alliance and Gehennas for Horde. Mograine was used as a free transfer location for dying servers and since the majority of PvP server players are Horde, the majority of the popular PvP servers are entirely full of Horde players.
The majority of PVE server players are Alliance, and the Horde have a similar issue. Firemaw was once a 50/50 server until Blizzard allowed free transfer from Firemaw to Gehennas through a loophole, causing a mass hysteria migration of Firemaw Horde players to Gehennas after discovering that some big guilds had used the loophole to move.
As a result of Blizzard’s mishandling of the servers, every server is now pretty much either Horde or Alliance exclusively. The only Alliance you will find on Mograine are PvP’ers.

The migration started before the loophole was discovered. It started when Firemaw became locked, which caused consumable prices to go up, since bot owners were not able to transfer in characters filled with materials gathered on dead realms. This caused entire guilds to paid transfer off in search of cheaper consumables (don’t ask me how the hell that is supposed to be worth it). By the time the loophole was discovered, Firemaw’s population was already 38H:62A so everyone else pretty much transferred off as a precaution to not be left on a dead faction later.
Personally, I think they have royally screwed up with the Servers. I just levelled a DK on Pyrewood Village and its DEAD - I mean, 2/3 people in Org. During my 4 hours of playing I’ve seen 4 people total!! WTF. I spoke to someone and they said that majority of Horde players transferred off to Golemagg/Morgraine. So basically the Normal servers are now dead, the PVP servers are too full - for Horde. Looks like I will be cancelling my sub as I cannot find a normal server that has a good Horde / Ally ratio.
Honestly, add layering to this… Blizzard have no idea what they are doing.
