Server populations

Well, first there was this:

https://ironforge.pro/population/tbc/?locale=EU-RU

It wasn’t good enough since it only shows raiders. Doesn’t prove a thing according to some.

Now I found this:

https://gamerjournalist.com/wow-classic-server-populations-2021/

I can’t see where it takes the numbers, but comparing them to ironforge.pro the numbers shown on every realm is higher. Also the overall population number is way higher.
The overall population shows 51% A / 49% H

So, where’s the numbers that shows how under populated the alliance when it comes to overall numbers?

I usually check AH if each side - more ‘accurate’ than raiders imo.

Yeah I’m not doing that on every server.

Just do it on the server you play on :+1:

It literally says data from March 2021, population balance is heavily skewed towards Horde after 58 boost was added.

You can use WoW Census addon to check population data, nobody really does it because Blizzard disabled auto scan function in API, you gotta manually click on the interface or game world to send a /who request instead of letting it run in the background for hours.

Actually the auto-scan works for me.

Census Plus Classic.

Can’t do that on pvp server, and I’m also not interested in specific servers. I want to see numbers on overall population.

But before that it was reasonably balanced. To me it just means the sob stories I read here are exaggerated and are probably just some people playing on servers that are extremely low populated on their side from the start.
Which is a different matter.

There should also be some more relevant numbers somewhere.

The site related to that addon seems to have expired though.

Well then, you will need to do some work of your own to find the populations.

Wait what? So you read a post from March 2021, when TBCC wasn’t even released, about population wise, and now you say that today the “stories” over balances issues are …exaggerated because in Vanilla Classic they were somehow balanced?!

What’s this?! You should of tell us this from the beginning so we know what you exactly mean “the stories are a lie”.

Sounds like you are trying to find a figure that supports your belief that horde and alliance are actually balanced in numbers and that the BG queue time thing is infact a real problem.

Mean while ill just corpse run into all my instances and farm gold in strat.

Outdated population numbers.

Honestly your best bet is to check your server discord and see how many people are tagged horde and alliance.

Last time I did census check it showed that this ratio is far closer to actual numbers than raiding data, Alliance has more raid loggers and Horde has more casual raiders and vice versa for pvp.

So a few months ago when Earthshaker showed 50:50 split in raiding it was actually more populated by Horde, actual faction ratio was almost 60:40 , and discord tags reflected that.
