Well, at least now we know officially is a capacity issue, and if Trelw’s math is right, a 300% increase in the number of players for those servers is indeed hard to manage.
However, why 2 days to basically confirm what everyone knew already?
You guys could avoid so much rage by simply letting players know what’s going on.
On the other hand… personally, I’m still amazed how you guys get always surprised by this capacity issue every time there’s an expansion…
You know… in my country there’s a similar situation every year, when the winter comes and the authorities fail to clean the snow on the streets; they always apologies by saying they “were caught by surprise” …
Every attempt at logging into Draenor this evening has ended with a disconnect. I’ve been well over an hour in queue and then I suddenly get a random disconnect.
PLEASE fix this, it’s friday night and people really want to play! I personally have lost 5 days of playtime because of your crappy servers (shadowlands pre-patch launch + actual launch).
Taking our money no problem, but actually providing a working service? No way.
Honestly this is a huge issue especially for players who work, its like being punished for working a long shift and coming home to look at a queue screen for hours. play for 10 minutes then go to sleep. Honestly compensation needs to be given to the playerbase because we are paying for this and not not seeing any fixes or solutions to the problem.
I support this because I wasted 5 days to play really shortly before boom dced and either servers down error or 4k que when I come home from work i wanna be treated with a good SL gameplay instead what is my reward it’s horrendous que times and only 1 or 2 hours of play before it all goes to hell again.
Please Blizzard try to fix your servers i wanna play longer then 2 hours!.

However, if you are one of those people who were on Draenor since day 1, in the past decade and more, you had countless opportunities to either transfer off Draenor for free, or get used to it.
What I mean is, it’s not Blizzard’s fault. If everyone choses to play on the same realm and they do their best to tell you it’s not a good idea. You did anyways.
There’s nothing wrong with playing on Draenor, but the privilege of having the largest chunk of playerbase & AH available comes at the cost of occasional queue times during releases.
Don’t wanna start measuring pp-s, but I’ve been here since 2006 this is my second account, quited after wrath, left my little bro to play on the acc returned here in 2012 .Yes, i transfered late cata, after DS, from Hellscream to Draenor(which is nearly a decade as i claimed xD), i explicitly looked for medium-high realm, which it was at that point, or i got brain damage from Magni and his WOONz In BFA, and forgot, but given the reason I transfered from dying realm and wanted to avoid full ones like the plague, which was, if I recall Ragnaros (?) At that time, i doubt it. I really don’t want to start a flame war, i get the point the people are blaming playerbase, the part which conciously choose full realm and brought us all ruin, including themsleves, i agree it has its benefits but every expansion release, hell even most big patches, it’s horrible. We are blaming blizz for continuous same problems release after relase, not locking full realms or at least giving us free transfer,that’s it. As for your claim , i do not remember any free migration from Draenor, at least not since it had issues like this, might be wrong. If it happened during WoD -> present day, I would’ve transfered and laughed maniacly at the same time. All the best to you.
