Would that be to much for your devs I wonder. Just set it to 10% for all and be done with it, rather than just leave it be. There is massive ali domination on my shard, they have 25% wm bonus horde have 10%. Devs taking huge piss on players I tell you what.

in my opinion if they want the % to stay as it is they need to fix sharding, one way is making every groupe move to the persons with the lowest pop of your faction in the groupe(meaning that if the is 100 of a faction on the shrad the groupe is but someone joins from a shard with less then 100 the whole groupe/raid is moved there instead)
It works better than flat 10% bonus, which is the point.
So, a player sees enemy players they want to kill, forms a group to kill them, the enemies disappear. Nice solution. You just made bounties within groups unkillable, increased complaints about the frequency of players appearing/disappearing, didn’t fix imbalance because player distribution in zone = impossible to balance
What do you propose instead? How would you solve the warmode issue, even if its only a small amount of players (as you have claimed before)?
Solution:
- Define the issue - pre 8.1, region faction imbalance causing too many single faction Horde overflow shards, declining Alliance wm on due to perceived shard imbalance, increasing Horde free 10%ers, worsening region imbalance.
- Decide if fixing for affected % worth it - ye, worsening region imbalance only makes it more difficult to balance shards and risks a snowball effect.
- Come up with a least worst solution that does not have negative impact on wpvpers - implement a region based reward incentive system for outnumbered faction, encouraging more Alliance to WM on, and more Horde 10%ers to WM off.
Result:
- Closer region faction balance.
- Reduction in single faction Horde overflow shards.
- Increased Alliance wm participation.
- Easier to balance dual faction shards.
- No negative impact for wpvpers.
Objective achieved in 8.1 = yes
Objective achieved in 8.2 = in progress
it might not fix inbalance but it would make it harder for a faction to just move to any shard they dominate and play there and makes it harder to funnel players into a few shards.
now fixing balance needs to be adreesed to tho we have seen that the outmanned buff does not help, else it should have visable results by now, from what i see they are neglectable at best so removing that system would be the same neglectable at best.
No one seems to like it when other players appear or disappear in front of them. Your solution would only increase that effect. That’s worse than what we currently have.
Imagine there’s a group of Horde gankers in a zone, they have a couple of bounties. You form a group to try and get those bounties. Soon after forming your group, the bounties just disappear - because you got moved to a shard with less of your faction. That can already happen, but your solution would make it more frequent.
Every possible solution has possible consequences. It’s about least worst solutions.
try make the groupoe for the bounties on the shard you are on or wait for more people to join your shard

the disappearing should be about the same just different people diappearing instead of everyone moving to the leaders shard.

So one side gets benefit of lfg grouping but the other doesn’t… nope, don’t like it. Besides, you didn’t mention lfg in your original solution. What if I have a WPvP community and want to form an anti-bounty group from that, you just made that harder. No thx. Players in zone are often not interested in bounty. So you would just let bounty roam free.
FYI: In a cross shard group, you don’t currently go to leaders shard, it’s whoever entered the zone first - which could be leader, but not necessarily.
This, basically. Or simply remove the bonus from warmode at all. Remove everything that demands warmode. It should be a free choise simply to play the game with pvp enabled.
Right now, PvE Players feel forced into warmode because of so many reasons. Quests. More quests. Essenses that require quite alot from PvP/warmode.
Start with removing that is my opinion. If people want BiS gear or what ever BiS is for your class, don’t force PvE players to do tons of warmode stuff to get it. Don’t lock it behind PvP for players that do not want, PvP.
Or, if Actiblizzy really want to do a big favor for the PvP players - dust of those PvP servers that was meant for it, but were removed.
No reason to remove bonus just because players want to turn WM on, but not suffer the consequences of hard mode.
PvP realms are gone for a reason, WPvP was dead on them.

people are forced to turn on garbage mode because they want to level faster and people who outnumber others are inclined to turn it on even though they don’t like it because it is free 10%

PvE’ers turn it on because they weighed up the risk v reward. Their choice.
WPvPers turn it on to kill em all. Their choice.

I’m in wm to wpvp, which requires no bonus.
Nothing? More complainer exageration. You get 10%, that covers the extra gy walks in wm.
