Quest - Setting the Trap (Pandaria)

Issue - Ritual Stones aren’t showing in bag for user, though GM Can see.

Character - Llafhuin (Earthen Ring, Alliance, EU)

Reported to GM. Directed to report bug.

Hello all,

I’m opened a ticket for this as I’m current attempting to build my Shado-Pan Assault Rep and this quest appears to be bugged.

The GM has looked at it and they can see the stones in my bag, but I cannot.

I’ve dropped the quest and accepted it again, no stones in the bag. Restarted the games numerous times. Nothing is making the stones appear in my bag.

Going to the quest objective location tells me I don’t have the items.

The GM has said this is clearly a bug.

I need this quest as SPA Rep quests are so few.

Can anyone help here?

Have you reset your UI? https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/7549
If the GM can see them and you can’t it sounds like a UI problem.
If that doesn’t work, report it as a bug as Saneko described.

Apologies for the name and address, I’d lifted this direct from the form I was filling in for the GM. I’ve removed them now.

I’ve reset the UI and the stones still are not showing. I’ve submitted a bug reported (in-game). Do we know how long this possibly takes to get squashed?

If you deleted the quest then the quest items will be destroyed.

Most people don’t know the difference between turning addons off and a full UI reset.

I abandoned the quest, when I noticed the NPC didn’t give me the stones (after I’d gone to the first marker).

The GM has responded to say they can see the stones in my bags. I however can’t.

My UI has been reset. I’ve added OLD to the required folders then proceeded to scan the game files, no errors where found.

Still no stones show for myself.

Hi there Llafhuin,

This quest has been around for a while and there are no other reports of this happening and it’s more likely to be confusion rather than an actual bug.

Keep in mind that the stones are not provided for the quest and need to be looted on your own elsewhere before you can complete the quest.

Please carefully review the comments on the quest and required items available on WoWhead and give it another try after collecting some more stones and I’m certain you’ll be able to get it done.
