Shadow Crash - @target

Maybe I am wrong, but there is no way I can spread Vampiric Touch except with Shadow Crash, and quite unlike Dark Void, and a raft of other spells from this and other classes, Shadow Crash requires reticle positioning.

Considering that in the heat of the battle I can not find the cursor more often than not, call me disabled if you like, it is very hard/impossible for me to position the reticle properly. Even with a macro, “/cast [@cursor] Shadow Crash” I would not be able to do it.

Please Blizzard, allow Shadow Crash to hit the current target, just like Dark Void, or allow “[@cursor]” macros!

Would be better if one could talent VT so it dots multiple targets (say, 4 or 5).

It’s just plain bad how bad Shadow’s aoe is as is, as Mind Sear isn’t spammable and while you can go the Deathspeaker/Psychic Link route, it still requires dots to be present to cleave, while DK’s laugh in their HB/Blood Boil/Virulent Plague mass dotting targets without an upper cap…

Our only applicator suffers from a targetting issue, being a slow moving spell (so it even misses if enemies are being kited, looks at Necrotic), and on top of that even has a 30 sec cd.

One of the best features of GW2 is the ability to cast aoe abilities on your target. It trades precision and the ability to predict the targets movement for ease of use, a rather fair trade in my honest opinion. Wish Blizzard would also consider doing this.

All paths lead to Shadow Crash which is very awkward to use.

It makes sense that Shadow Crash / Dark Void are active spells that “spread” the Dots rather than Dots magically spreading without user input.

The problem is there is no viable AoE path other than Shadow Crash / Psychic Link .

Another path is Dark Void + Deathspeaker + Pain of Death, using SW:Death procs to AoE on targets who have previously got tagged with Dark Void (SW:Pain). Unfortunately Psychic Link works ONLY with Vampiric Touch and NOT SW:Pain. In addition SW:Pain only lasts 16 seconds rather than 21, so you have 5 added seconds of AoE downtime compared to VT.
