i know many of you agree on this aswell and i wanted to create a post to rise awareness about the looks of shadow form. its old and dated and the worst problem is you cant enjoy your mogs (astral form says hi aswell). 15 years of wow brought us so much costumization looks, gears, same gears with different colors, that everyone else can enjoy.
to me shadow form rly needs a change but if you dont wanna change it for the people that like it atleast make the glyph of shadow much much more impactfull in order to be able to see the colors and the details of our gear.
to me both shadow form and astral form need a complete visual rework to show that something is there thematicaly appropriate ( like mild shadow clouds fly around you and you leave them behind as you move like the old wf animation or little stars for astral form) but not mess with the visuals of the char and the gear or else why would you bring all that new costumization when everyone cant use them.
I wouldnt call Shadow form dated, its defintly been updated comparitively (some argue for worse others dont)
while i think it’d be good if blizzard give the option for this, i think theres a charm and a Appeal to a audience. (remember not everyone cares about transmog) and given u can have the Glows etc etc show shadow kinda give it its own transmog capabilities when it comes to making your character look cool
I dont think its a bad thing we have 1 or 2 classes which dont have to care as much about transmog
but if they did this for a glyph for those that want it.,. i could defintly agree more options is defintly better
My only real problem with shadow form is the jet trail of shadow farts that it leaves behind and into my actual face when flying
I can understand the dislike some people have for the form as it limits them visually. On the other hand it actually is very obvious and distinct, which is a boon in certain content that requires immediate reactive play.
For example, in my raid team, being the only Shadow Priest means that my team knows where I am all the time.
That being said, an option for those who are not a great lover of the visuals is always something I’ll fight for, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with having options.
obviously i dont wanna ruin anything for the ppl that like it.myself after playing on and off 15 years wow id like to be able to see my costumization more. thanks for your input guys
All that work they did on spriest and they didnt remove the 10% dmg from shadowform.
