Title says it all
Melee don’t have to fake cast they have strong bleeds
A lot of classes can now remove the sp dots and since everything else has been nerfed in pvp our dots should not be so easily removed and if they remove the dot it should not only horrify it should hurt like UA and flame shock .
Boomkins are now getting also dispel protection in form of Starburst (dmg + upwards knockback I think), which leaves shadow priest the only one without damage on their dispel protection. Horrify effect is fine, but similarly to affli locks, it should deal damage per Dot removed.
I can’t comprehend how SP is always shafted to the garbage when it comes to our direct damage in PvP. I want to understand why our dots hit for a quarter of let’s say, Ele Shamans flame shock. Next I want to know why Ele shamans, which are NOT a rot/dot spec, have such a great dispell protection, while ours is a joke. Our dots hit like wet noodles. Our direct damaging abilities are pitiful. I cast 5 Mind Blasts, to do a total of 50K damage… My mind blast average is 14k… I want to know why disc priest direct abilities, such as mind blast and shadow word death hit three times the amount that SPs hit with the same ability.
I’m feeling pretty depressed for playing SP, and Blizz always shafting us to a support role and nothing else. Getting dispelled all the time, immuned, interrupts seem to always be saved for us… It’s just absolutely digusting. SPs pose no threat damage wise. We’re easy to shut down, without any downside for doing so
I am not shaman player, so I might not be right, but I assume they have are reliant on instant Lava Burst procs from Flame Shock, and that’s why they get dispel protection. They also need to spend PvP talent for that protection, while warlocks and priests have that baseline.
I believe our dot damage was hit hard back in Legion with Mass Hysteria artifact trait, which allowed us to stack insane amounts of haste if you managed to maintain Voidform. Our dot damage was nerfed badly to offset that, but it has been somewhat forgotten when perma-voidform playstyle got removed in Shadowlands. I agree something should be done about this.
