I am no professional shadow priest but… I just don’t see why certain things are not part of shadow’s kit.
Spiritwalker’s Grace from shaman makes sense to be given to priest IMO. (1.5 min cd - 15 seconds of movement while casting. Perfectly sensible to be given to shadow priest)
Two charges of shadowcrash makes sense, or make it effect more targets
Devouring plague spreading vamp+pain to another target makes sense
Dot spread or dot explosion from void eruption / void bolt makes sense (like it spreads to +4 targets per void bolt)
Another idea i had is making enemies killed within the 8 second shadow word death timer should spread its dots to a nearby enemy. This is just a nice little thing that would help bring it closer to other classes
Compared to other classes, like say unholy death knight who can press one button with no cd to dot everything, shadow priest is screaming and crying - enemies that jump around, big pulls where there’s more than 10 targets, and the targeted version of shadowcrash is totally cancelled if the target dies before it lands.
The fix would of course be an instant (no travel time) shadow crash (or maybe like an old spell warlock used to have where it explodes the dots onto nearby enemies)
Combine that with all the forced movement in the game atm, shadow is really hurt by the game design
