Why is blizzard going from one extreme to opposite extreme instead of fixing something GENTLY?
Because you have access to Mass Dispel, Power Infusion and Fortitude. You bring way too much to party which makes inviting a priest a no brainer and now they are trying to level you guys with other people.
I’m not a big fan of the s priest rework, i preferred the dragonflight launch s priest.
They should have kept that, you had sear and no sear build, reshuffle talents around to allow for more interesting choices, spell usage was fine, i didn’t really feel like the rotation was bloated for me.
But they should have changed mind spike. How it is now is mostly fine, i would have preferred, “replace mind flay, has a chance to proc after you spend insanity dealing more damage and being instant cast, and also generating shadows.” Something like that.
Really, the only successful reworks were mage, and that’s about it honestly. Ret Paladin gameplay is decent, they removed one of the best most fun procs which was the wake of ashes reset, s priest gameplay is just decent, it’s strong but that’s about it, and it looks like it won’t be strong anymore after this patch drops, and that’s about it for the reworks.
Rogue changes are looking mostly very good, dh seems about the same, which i don’t mind, i don’t want them to touch dh too much if it’s gonna result in a worse spec, i especially don’t want them to touch cdr and cd extension. When you start removing stuff that makes the spec feel more dynamic to play for the sake of appeasing those players that wanna “maximize dps down to the last percentage” That really pisses me off, because it always results in worse gameplay.
But what about muh uptime on boss? Piss off with that stuff, seriously.
Dev evoker changes were very good, arms and fury changes good, and that’s about it as far as i can remember.
Warlock changes are atrocious though, it’s been on a downward slide since the start of dragonflight. Started good, but now it’s really bad, and i mean, REALLY bad.
The most successful reworks, have been the “soft reworks” Where they didn’t drastically change the gameplay of a spec, but rather just improved it. Even mage i cannot consider it a hard rework, because in the end the rotation is still similar, just better in almost every way.
The Mind Spike Nerf Insanity nerf is amazing…ly WHAT? a spell that does like 6-7% during a fight / M+…
Mass dispell, sure, I can handle it as its kinda, OP alot of times in PVE. I have no idea how to change to to be more, in pair with other classes, as no other class has it.
Rework the talent: Twins of the sun priestess
This talents splits the Power infusion power between you and the ally.
12.5% Haste, Duration 10sec.
(IF you not talent this, you gain 25% haste, duration 20sec on yourself only).
This would be a good change for priests, as we can benifit from it more or less. But also, doesnt make it way to stron in dual casting on Priest and target.
Rework: Shadow Crash
This is the kind of AOE-dependent spell we have to get debuffs up. And we cant use it as warriors to just run-Whirlwind-everything and go berserk on AOE list for an example.
To change this into a “blast” or “explosion” that does less AOE dmg but applies VT + SWP on all targets. For example only make it like 4000dmg or something with 1.5sec cast… But still it will make our AOE something good to spamm it on 2-3 groups to get dots up before going berserk with CDs etc.
Now its: Shadow Crash, find mobs that is not affected by debuffs, singel VT em… and keep it going as good as possible. THIS is what makes this hectic during AOE packs with more than 8 targets.
