Welcome to the world of Balance Druid where SS hits for significantly less than the level 25 version that wasn’t even buffed by talents.

I agree a nerf was warranted but it makes me chuckle how everyone who wants to cry about the skill uses the most extreme cases to justify there outcry…

for example… It never ‘1 shot’… Yes, it could technically do around 60-80% of a persons HP if they were unbuffed / in -stam raid gear / low level but almost everyone is running around at 40 with atleast 1.8k HP (casters included) and this gets buffed by another 30% in PvP areas.

So lets jump off that bandwagon eh… :slight_smile:

Edit: Oh I forgot to mention… it hit that hard around 5-8% of the time depending on your crit %… and if it didnt kill your target, you’ll take 30/40% of your own HP in return.

Can we have Starsurge instead? Id much prefer that now :slight_smile:

Yeah? You think a normal instant cast spell hitting(non crit) for 900 is acceptable?

On a serious note, ppl with 1.4 k - 2 k hp in open world did not appreciate 1.6 k crit on an instant spell with low mana. nerf is completely justified

Umm no do’n’t nerf lavaburst. there is enough counterplay. just kick it or dispel flameschock. plus shamans need to hardcast a lot i don’t think they need a nerf. instant spells like SW:D on the other hand…

I hit with mutilate into priests with max 400 dmg crits! (do you use inner fire?) do you watch rogues energy bar, so you cast when his energy is 0 and cant cc you?

priest in every BG even after today nerf take the TOP 3 spots in KB/D (20+ blows, max 5 deaths), after priest come hunters and paladins/warriors.

while rogues are in the middle to bottom of those statistics.

I only allow shamans to complain, they are really weak. even ferals can do more.

There was a skilled priest who said, that if a rogue can kill a priest that priest should not PvP. (it was today, after the swd nerf)

Not every class has a kick or a dispel though. Pretty sure a got 100-0 on my lock in a couple of seconds yesterday. (3k hp) my best bet is curse of tongue from experience. But if i lose the initiative (or the sham coming in my back = done). Shams are brutals. And no fun drainlife etc allowed. Burst + offensive dispel .

I do not think they deserve a nerf though.

And I like to stunlock people for 30-40seconds without them being able to play the game, I love pvp. (rogue)

SW D should never be nerfed and it should be a aoe to 5 targets. If all die, you summon the avatar of mike morhaime which gives inmmunity to all the raid.

let’s hope mage/shamelem/warlocks/hunter are the next getting a 50% nerf

Try comparing SW: D to warlock’s Shadowburn, as the abilities have a similar function

Both instant cast, SW:D has low mana cost and locks have to pay a soul shard with each cast

SW: D still deals more damage than Shadowburn after the nerf

Not to mention your dots - I counted yesterday in WSG, 1 SW Pain + Void plague took almost my entire 2,5k health bar

What is your problem again?

  1. They don’t.
  2. Melee hunters have no gap closers nor any utility and absolutely no defenses. They have nothing but damage.

Whilst I’m all in favour of a melee hunter nerf, it isn’t because of their PVP strength. They’re garbage in PVP.

They do hit for for 1k, even more. Payo has a video of him literally 2 shotting someone with 2 auto attacks and 800/500 raptor strike crits then finishing them off with flanking strike. 2 abilities dead.

Also survival hunter has a s**t ton of talents that significantly increase there defense and utility especially in BGs and against melee targets.

They also have gap closers with concussive shot and wyvern sting then can spam R1 wing clip all day for immobilise procs or feign death into frost traps for the annoying immobilise procs every few seconds.

Who’s bright idea was it to give hunters a 3 second cd nuke that has a chance of resetting? lmao

High damage instant are never a good idea as we’ve seen with Death & Starsurge. There need to be a somewhat allowance for counterplay. I’d rather see mindblast be the big damage, mindspike being decent and an additional to make mindblast great.
