Shadowcore oil should stack with windfury and flametounge imbues. It stacks with rogue poisons, it stacks with death knight rune weapons enchants.

eh why do you want to have one more nuisance on top of flasks and foodbuffs? its not like it has any skill or decision-making involved, like combat potions, its just a passive bit of dmg with no exciting moment about it. If they let us use it, it wont be free damage from the damage-fairy, it will come with a small nerf somewhere else to compenstate.
If you really want to play this game, death knights cant use permanent enchants AND runes. Do they ask for Celestial Guidance ? No, because their rune is 50 times better.
Be glad our “oil” is free and 50 times better.

Now that you mention combat potions, weapon oils have a synergy with potions making them stronger if an oil is imbued
