Sure, nobody can dispute that it’s going to be about priorities.
Point is that it shouldn’t. There should not be a priority list between competitiveness and Christmas. And I know you agree but just nailing it down again because I’m kindda piss’t 
Nobody else does this. Competitive swimming seasons don’t start such that you have to swim competitions on the 25th. People aren’t at their jobs to make extra bucks on the 25th - although critical healthcare workers are but that’s not for a competitive edge, that’s because life is precious.
I think pretty much doctors and nurses and careworkers are the only people with any reason to be doing something else than celebrating on Christmas eve.

i dunno about one of those points i personally have worked on the 25th for extra bucks in my past…
i still managed to celebrate xmas when i got home.
Well, what can I say - your priorities are very different to mine. Although I’m mostly concerned about the evening, not the day, and raids take place in the evening.
I forgot another group of people who have a good reason to work on the 25th: Priests.
But yea, no. Really. Blizzard said no to it last year, why is this year different?

christmas is kind of overrated to me anyway if im honest…
i mean i enjoy xmas and what it stands for etc , but its not the end of the world if i dont get anything on xmas xD
The fact that you were offered triple pay witnesses how unpopular it is doing anything but being with family on that date.
it was actually the same for all bank holidays as well triple pay and extra days holiday which was basically a extra days pay on top of that.
basically 4 days pay for one day
was helpful with having spent out on xmas pressies for peeps 
I can’t remember when was the last time I didn’t work each day throughout the holidays. Not even for extra money but because business didn’t stop just because it was Christmas or New Year.
That being said, this doesn’t impact anyone except for the three or four top guilds racing for world first. No one else has any realistic chance of getting world first so I don’t know why any of us would be worried.
I suppose those top guilds could compain but this is what you sign up for when you go full balls-to-the-walls with a hobby.

wait what? i’ve worked in some form or another every christmas of my adult working life except 2 (maybe 3). is there something wrong with me?
Not at all, you just have very unusual preferences/priorities.

I already said this. There are a few select people who have a mandatory reason to be working on Christmas Eve, (remember I’m talking about the evening before as I’m Danish) like nurses and priests and doctors, but the vast, vast majority of people are not working during that period.
And that’s work - something you get paid for. This is just for laughs - a hobby. Here preferences means far more than it does in several lines of work.
Anyway, that’s a giant red herring.
We need 20 people. That means we need 20 people to have the unusual preferences of people like Vintoleth, in fact more unusual than that I wager, and all their close family, so probably around 100 people give or take, is going to have to concur that it’s OK.

dont se a problem it wont affect almost anyone, exept maby 4 or 5 top guilds, and they just have to suck it up, for anyone else, missing a few days wont affect them, unless their guild leader is a compleate moron or so, who demands raids on holidays.
Pretty much everyone within the top 200 or so aspire to be in the top 5, so yeah.
But look, it’s just demoralising, and this is the Mythic raids I’m talking about anyway. People who don’t raid Mythic, which is the vast majority of people, would not be affected, so their opinions are completely and totally irrelevant.
its not…trust me. Look at my posts, I’ve said 2021 for months, the beta is still a hot mess. Quests that don’t work, balancing all over the place. Heck they announced a rework of abilities yesterday. It is not ready. If they were honest no one (well no one sane) would care, it has been a terrible year.
Release when it is ready, not when Activision want you.
