Just tried the PTR… This game is a royal mess now. Graphics are terrible for the requirements, bloated ui, bloated bags with a million items that i have no clue what they do without opening an encyclopaedia, no talent tree overhaul (I want brand new talents every expansion and my class to play differently).
I regret pre-ordering. Maybe the new stuff will be ok once we get our hands on it next month but I think we need WOW2 after this, not a new expansion.
I really liked playing Frost DK with a 2-hander, fury warrior was pretty much the same, slam was added to rotation, but I only leveled that one to 16 or something
The requirements are a little excessive. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
The one thing I noted from the PTR is that an SSD is very strongly recommended.
I had the PTR on an HDD and there was quite a bit of lead time and pop ups for a good while after entering the world. Put it on my old SSD and no such issues.
Remember that we have all the covenant stuff - that’s our new talent trees.
In BFA Azerite armor and essences were our new talent trees.
WOW is the only game that reinvents the wheels every 2 year.
Other games don’t make such drastic changes and they’re doing just fine. This is does more harm than good.
He prepurchased it and there’s rules for software once ‘opened’. As I recall you waive your refund. I recall this being discussed about the same time for BfA.
How about not pre-ordering and giving Blizzard your minion upfront then? You’re basically just giving them free reign to do whatever they want by pre-ordering.
WoW 2 isn’t a good idea, nobody’s gonna play that garbage. Dedicated WoW players are not leaving WoW, so it’s useless to design WoW 2 to attract them. Why would you make a game whose goal is to kill your current game? So if we get a WoW 2 it needs to be designed to attract a modern audience. Trust me, you don’t want it.
The big problem with DHs is that where other classes got “unpruned”, and some classes have dramatic changes… there’s nothing to unprune in DH. It’s pruned by design.
I totally agree the game needs a huge overhaul. But that happened before in Cata and in MoP without releasing a sequel and I think it’s happening with 10.0.
No, and after November, SSDs are becoming standard for games. 2021 you won’t be a gamer without an SSD. The way you should look at things is like this - consoles set the baseline required hardware for games. Anything below that simply isn’t viable. Consoles are getting SSDs now. So SSDs will become ubiquitous. There was a time when GPUs weren’t ubiquitous, but they became such with time.
The point is that the other classes are different from what you played the previous expansion. So each expansion, you get something different. Mix in spec and role changes, and you’re set for a decade.
Uh-huh. Sure dude. Tell me again how every League champion gets an overhaul literally every season or how CoD weapons get completely changed every season.
