So i started the game about a month ago and i thought its great,i wanna get the most out of it,i saw the expansion,i liked it;BUT i also did some research and im under the impression that shadowlands is ending and i dont wanna spend 40 euros on smoething that will become free to access in a years time,so my question is should i buy shadowlands or should i wait ? (Im not familiar with how soon expansions get released after one ends nor how long they last,basically i dont wanna spend 40 euros for nothing)
Shadowlands launched November 2020. Every expansion lasts about 2 years, so SL has more than a year left until it goes free.

Expansions have always come out later in the year, Aug-Dec. Shadowlands launched November 17, 2020, so we’re 5 months in to an expected two-year expansion.
