Locations are small, and you don’t have feel of being in open world. Even WoD have more to offer in this matter.
You have neverending farm of anima. This is worst system than Artifact Power from Legion.
There is less armors, weapons, mounts, pets etc. avaible to our characters than in any previous expansion.
Pve reward system is broken, from 4 weeks I got helmet from weeekly chest and I have legendary on this slot. There is no option to buy pve gear for doing dungeons or raids. So why I shoud do more dungeons per week if reward is only 35 anima?
Playing alt is boring because we need farm this same reputation to do torgast, and again try to get gear where is no chance for good gear.
Game is full of bots and gold/boost sellers, and I don’t see any improvments.
Lots of players still waiting for they heritage armors.
Old content is harder than was on start of BFA. Mabe add demoralizing buff like in WoD?
I don’t need more loot. I just need more rewarding loot.
I can get one piece per week but why I get helmets when I don’t need them? Why I get only 35 ap and not 350ap?
Locations aren’t smaller than in other expansions like BfA. They are simply easier to travel in due to added verticality which helps with gliding mechanics and there are also teleport systems so it only feels like zones are small.
Since it works as currency for tones of cosmetics I don’t see an issue with it.
Besides, there are always some almost endless grinds in all expansions.
I honestly don’t see how did you come to this conclusion since it’s the start of the expansion and as we move forward mounts will be added to the game.
How does this niche selective example prove anything? Literally, anyone can come in and tell the story of how he got a bunch of nice upgrades and 200+ weapon 2 weeks into the expansion
You don’t really need to farm anything since legos drop from Layer 3+ which doesn’t require any upgrades to TH and if you aren’t Mythic Raider you don’t need sockets from Venari.
It always was but in SL it’s actually less of MBoxers farming with 3rd party soft than before.
Huh?
It’s not really that harder and it’s easy to get group going if you farm something.
no clue what you mean with anima farm but no one in this world has to farm anima for anything but covenant gear upgrades if you really lack gear… the rest is cosmetics.
also you dont need to farm any rep to DO torghast but okay.
I dont see a bunch of people claiming to want their heritage armor fast. Any statistics?
The locations feel small because they are not interconnective but just their own zone you cant really leave sadly.
Some of its songs may give a good hint on what Shadowlands could have been. In my opinion, Shadowlands currently feels unexplored or rushed. It’s like the beta-idea to me, just some landscapes with the good ol’ daily/weekly “systems” keeping it alive plus much ignored potential of story, feelings & discovery.
The way to check this is to ask yourself: If you think about an afterlife-world in the Warcraft universe, how would you design it? What would you add? STOP RIGHT THERE. The next expansion will come in 2 or 3 years - no need to investigate further, ladies and gentlemen.
Expansions may survive hype/hit enough goodwill of people but it doesn’t mean this was what Warcraft deserved. Give developers time, set them free and encourage their impulses!
Another want free stuff for no effort post eh…noice. weekends over tho
Making a comparison on content from a previous expac to the initial release is just incredibly dumb. Your basically saying a 2 year old xpac with 3 major patches has more content than a fresh launch. Jolly jee, you think so?
So, half of your issues is not even with this expansion but they make this the worst.
Anima is not an infinite grind as it is irrelevant, pve rewards are broken since Legion in different ways, bots and boosters always existed, Torghast does not require reputation to do, old content is barely harder, just equip your heart of azeroth and demolish everything up until Antorus, and there are always less vanity stuff at the beginning of an expansion.
Location size compared to WoD is irrelevant because at least now we don’t sit in our garrison 6 days out of 7 due to no open world content.
true - but the farm for covenant gear takes quite some time with how few anima wq are there daily,
all this to artificialy gate people and force them to play less but longer instead more but shorter.
i see it on my mage now - had no problem to upgrade anima pieces to 177 - there im gated because there is simply no anima unless i want to waste hours to farm 35 anima per dungeon.
not fun experience when pvpers dont have such artificial gates only can spam bgs unlimited amoutn of time for unlimited amount of honor.
The only thing i personal agree upon is old content. I remember blizz saying that after level squish everything should be as to legacy as it was before. That is far from truth, and now they want to keep it that way.
There are poeple that have 0 rewards from raid clear and duplicate in vault…how is this fine? Activison is under your skin with this slotmachines strategy that you cant see clearly.
That is a low bar to beat tbh. It’s certainly one of my least enjoyable expansions so far, mostly because of how most of the systems feels like a hybrid between a pc and mobile game.
Well, the expansion also had a better start than Legion imo. Which again is not a high bar but I never expect the game to become as good as it was, simply because the developers have no idea what they are doing anymore.
We now have to wait how the expansion developes… I mean common its still the first ‘‘patch’’ now. 9.1 has the chance to show us which way they will go in this expansion
