there are multiple different ways you can get the leggo tokens, so you dont have to even bother with professions if you dont want to, you can get them from dungeons and raids as far as im aware, and the drops are seperate from other loot as well.
Not really. You get the recipes for free, but one of the items needed to craft them comes only from professions. And is a huge gold sink to level to rank 4.
OP, you have no idea what alt unfriendly really means.
Alt friendly does not mean have no depth, cost, value or time investments. That would be so boring for your main characters.
Alt friendly means you’re able to hit the ground running. We’re not expecting to be able to catch up to mains instantly.
Time gating and RNG is the issue. Look at the bad parts of the cloak, essences and corruption in 8.3
It isn’t the effects, it isn’t upgrading the essences, it’s acquiring the essences, the time it takes to upgrade the cloak, having to go through the visions all over again, having to do the same content time after time for the same rewards…
A gold sink for a Legendary item is fine. Alts should be an investment of resources.
the base items for legendary items can drop from dungeons and raids, i have seen people on beta running dungeons trying to drop them, and blizz have alreayd said that there would be multiple ways of getting them, professions are just one of them ways

the base items that you use to put the legendary powers onto can also be dropped from dungeons and raids, i literally saw one of them drop in a dungeon on gingis stream, crafting is not the only way to get them. im not going to repeat it again so please actually read it this time

Yes i think Blizz could easily give us like 10 dungeons each month to keep it interesting, but then there will be new players during the expansions whom just cant keep up.
Or maybe the gear drops then should be equall ilevel?
You just keep upgrading it to a oblivion after you get the first item…
