Blizz like any other company will want to maximise profit. So they will need time for the marketing/advertising and they will want the game out pre Christmas to ensure that the game is on a lot of Christmas wish lists

Yea thats my guess too, but as we could see even before, they dont put it on holidays, so WF race isnt “ruined” by holidays, or players dont have the feeling to skip their holidays to be on par with everyone.

i noticed something weird on the website i always buy the collectors edition.
usual when i pre order the collectors edition there is no date set.
now it will be deliverd at 31 december 2020. could it really be shadowlands will release on 31 december 2020?
