I see the next Catacalysm timewalking for EU starts on TUESDAY 12 August, and the Arena event the following the timewalking starts on Thursday 20 August
(see screenshot @ https ://ibb.co/5WNqjvF ).
Does this mean that Shadowlands is releasing in that week? I could not find anything on the internet confirming a release date.
Just strange that the weekly holidays for that week would start on a Tuesday and not a Wednesday. The last time it happened if it serves my memory correctly was when 8.0 was released in the EU.
Probably September at its earliest, it’s still probably going to be 2-3 weeks of adding the remaining zones to the alpha.
Then i’d imagine they open up Beta & the maw zone by mid summer something, and start raid testing shortly after that.
Then its probably going to be 1-2 months of raid&torghast testing and fixing numbers, scalings, bugs etc.
Then we have the prepatch scourge even in retail around late summer/early fall, probably lasts a couple of weeks, and then a very optimistic Shadowlands release around mid fall.
My absolute fear is that once again they strive to rush it out the door because you know $$$$$$$$$$$$ from sales on xpac is more important than releasing a very polished product that both sells and keeps players subbed.
I am happy to wait till next year to be honest as long as it means we get a polished and worth while product where they take feedback on board from alpha and beta, instead of rushing it, ignoring feedback.
