First time Shadowlands and in Bastion with alt and level 53 and half and ran out of quests nothing on map. Been everywhere but there is nothing. So what do I do now. Is there somewhere else I am supposed to go or was that it.

Once you complete the campaign on one area (you can see your progress on the right side of the map if you open it), they’ll send you back to Oribos to talk with one of the floating dudes, and then they’ll send you to the next area which would be Maldraxxus if you’re at Bastion now
What happened was that I was told to go to Hero’s Rest and so I hearthed and the two NPC were not there so I went around looking for them. Each time I went back to Hero’s Rest they were not there and no quests on the map. Turns out I had to use the gate thingy actually from the place I completed the last quest and then go to Hero’s Rest. I just thought if I went there they would be there.
i find the maps a real pain to be honest. Was the same in WoD. There seems to be little consideration for the terrain and you often go wildely out of your way to find you can’t actually cross from one place to another. Just Green [grass], Brown[mountains] and Blue[water] would suffice like it use to be. I can’t work out what are paths. I was going all over the place trying to find where I finished the last quest.
Also I had two quests when I logged last night but hadn’t taken them. I hearthed to log out and when I came back I couldn’t find these two quests and they were not on the map. I hunted all round the area I was but they had gone. It was the one where you repair that lion thingy and then you are sent to some Beast halls or something. But the two guys are nowhere to be found.
So with flying back to Hero’s Rest and struggling with the map I had no quests. And the only thing was telling me to go back to this place… but they were not there. Anyway I did it and I now have another quest.

The world maps usually have big exclamation marks, which show where new big hubs of quests exist. It doesn’t work always though because I guess the devs have left some bugs in that system.
I think the problem may be that in this area there are high level hubs which you travel through a gate to get down from and it depends where you are as to whether the map picks them up for some reason. I may be wrong. What would be really useful is an ingame listing of all quests and a tick box for when complete. That is what they do in another game I play. They just draw a line through the completed stuff. Just saves you coming out of game and Googling.
