I have played shadowlands and if the gear progression is just as bad I won’t come back to dragonflight. Hence the reason I have not pre purchased DF yet. There are tons of great games waiting next year so I will see what they have to offer

Sadly, gear progression gets worse and worse over time.
Dragonblight is likely to be the worst yet.
Duck it up and carry on or quit seems to be the only options on offer

NO SPOILERS 
Gearing up has become progressively worse each expansion (and even patch to patch) since wrath. Expecting DF to buck that trend seems to be delusional.
Ill also add that bliz can’t balance current talents, adding more talents and more choices does not seem wise, O’Neil.
Also making flying annoying without anyway of opting out also seems unwise.
Just a couple of basic observation. Maybe microsoft can get a grip but time is running out for that white knight
