There are many elements at play here and seems blizz is tackling this from multiple angles. Another thing i noticed is that on Beta the ilvl difference between difficulties has been reduced from 15 to 13, not sure if placeholder but it’s something that would help towards the problem.
Another thing i liked about Azerite armor is the lack of secondary stats on it, early in the expansion i thought, because of azerite, we wouldn’t have this huge drop in secondary stats like we had before but then corruptions came along and made it worse than ever.
Personally i hoped they would continue with one or two pieces having only small traits instead of secondary stats.
Also this scaling you’re talking about is also the problem which caused world mobs to scale with your ilvl, hopefully they don’t forget about it cause this whole thing seems to be built like a house of cards.
I have set my eyes on the smoky elemental now, new dungeons mechanics to learn, new toxic players to meet, I am quite exited to experience this all over again soon
i just cannot understand how someone could be in favor of primary>secondary.
Also, primary are a flat damage gain, secondary become more and more powerful as you get more primary and secondary stats, so it’s a “problem” that is impossible to solve unless they completely change how secondary stats work, and if they do it will probably be fore the worse.
Let’s just hope blizzard when adding it all up and looking at things they manage to avoid this happening
They can still alter stat weights to let a lower number still represent a large impact. They just have to move the values abit or speed it up at class core
This will either be the next GCD change and we will all curse it for every day of its existence. Or they’ve done this properly and it won’t impact us too much
I get why 90% values are bad for the game… but if we get capped at tiny values… it will make alot of classes feel horrible
