Good for you having your own opinion about things and not blindy following streamers!
The thing that makes it fun is that it is unpredictable.
Raiding has all boss mechanics figured out weeks in advance.
M+ you know all the affixes & how to avoid/counter.
Torghast on the other hand changes run by run.
One run can be super easy because you get super duper powers, & the next is a struggle because you don’t.
My suggestion is, find a friend to do it with. Helps me anyways. I am not doing that stuff alone. I’d leave early from boredom. It helps a lot to play and communicate with others during it. Usually go on voice for it. Makes it all more enjoyable.
I like torghast .
It’s like a dungeon with progression based on the powers you find .
It needs some tunning but i enjoy it .
Does it though?
It doesn’t feel so bad as frost mage/balance druid two manning it.
You do realize that it can go both ways right? Somebody who absolutely hates Blizz in what ever they do. And if somebody has a positive response…heck…even neutral response, gets branded as a Blizzard’s fanboy, shill and etc. How dare he likes something which I hate?!
I think Torghast is fun. Clearing layer 6 skoldus hall was quite challenging. Its pretty rough though for dps classes. That stupid tree - or whatever it is - for example, with its weird shockwave, can oneshot you.
DPS classes have to really think about their anima powers with the final boss in mind because it does seem to be a massive dps race at higher layers. Clearing trash can also be painful with bad anima powers since mobs do have quite a big amount of health for dps classes. I see tanks and healer just rushing through their layers with whatever anima powers.
If mindlessly nuking everything is your thing, go tank/heal specc for torghast, if you like a challenge, go dps.
Torghast needs some tuning, but generally it is fun playing around with anima powers and testing your limit and doing 2 torghast runs a week for max soul ash is fine.
I believe @gréy is just a dh main who, for once in 2 expansions, isnt top dps and is now crying about literally everything. Suck it up like us ferals/boomies did for many expansions and let us enjoy being good for once.
Nah, 2-manning is fine. It’s once you get to 4-5 manning that it completely breaks down.
This I agree with. It’s probably one of the mos fun aspects of Torghast: It’s actually difficult.
Difficulty plays no part in enjoyment if the content it self is just boring, I love dark souls, and I love diablo-ese type games, but this crap is just that crap, boring lazy designing, it soul purpose to make you feel like you have to continually log in to play this boring content, to get your lego to justify being bored witless
If you find torghast fun then I’m afraid blizzard are going to bleed you dry, people like you are the reason we get crap content, because you will defend them giving you a plate of poo, telling people the reason they dont like it is because they are using the wrong seasoning.
What? omg
Why are you torturing yourself with removing it? Male chest hair is lovely, best pillow there is. Twiddle the fingers in a thick carpet of hair, yum!
Please keep it and find a proper woman that can appreciate masculinity.
And Torghast, I almost forgot! I did it on ptr only and I liked it. Gloomy place but the gameplay was fun.
I am kind of liking it. Except that i have to do it. And that means 4 hours this week. Why cant we just go from 3 to 6 at once?
And it is crap it is getting harder the bigger the group is. Alone is best, 2 is fine, 4 becomes hell.
Well, I like a challenge.
By the way, if you love RPG’s like that - have you tried Requiem 1.9.4 for Skyrim? It’s friggin’ great.
Implentation.
Deep Dungean in Havensward(FFXIV) doesnt just have loot. ts a real roguelike experience that unlike in Thorgast, actually had purpose. It was alot more fun when it was newly implentated. It had its seperate leveling systerm, how you build a character and what not.
It didnt rely on a full base toolkit that thorgast relies on and some wings are significantly harder then others.
Mort Regar is so far the hardest wing I have played and the most unbalanced wing to say took.
Tells people they are inferior to him and follows up with “no offence”. Classic.
So because people have a different opinion than you, they need to be belittled, talked down to, and it makes your rudeness is completely okay? Who’s holding the hatred here lol.
There’s nothing constructive about tossing mud on those who doesn’t instantly agree with you. That’s just immaturity, and it baits for arguments.
This comes from both sides…
The best experience I have had in a game is in Torghast, when I click a vessel to see if RNG has decided to give me a useful borrowed power. As Borat once said: Not.
Honestly, it was more fun to camp one of the rares BFA for an unknown time and have a chat with other people camping the same rare.
Honestly, I think you are on the lower end of the IQ scale yourself. You remind me of someone who constantly cries about how hard torghast is and who dies at the easiest boss mechanics.
With your attitude, I highly doubt that you like diablo-ese type of games or at least you will stop pushing after reaching rift 100-120 because they become too hard and the reward is “lacking”.
You are just a filthy casual.
Blizzard dumbed down the game for people like you.
Torghast is quite fun overall, especially with friends. But then again, watching paint dry with your friends is fun…
Not fun:
Getting bad/boring powers.
Runs with few powers and/or lots of slow dying mobs.
Specs with bad powers or that just struggle in general.
Out of combat spawning mob debuff.
Rescuing X quest for nothing but story and meager rewards.
Soul ash being the only reward.
Climbing every floor on alts.
Having wrong powers for end boss with no way to get new ones or change.
Failing and having to start over.
Lack of variety.
Starting with only one power.
Lack of things to interact with/pick up
Could have temp potions, chests, powerups etc lying all over.
Having to walk constantly.
Maw rat related powers, never any maw rats on last boss or when you need it.
Not enough wild, crazy, random, op, stupid, fun, suicidal powers.
No hidden secrets paths, treasures, vendors or easter egg stuff.
Interacting with some souls to unlock their chains, cages, traps etc.
Same minor npcs you rescue/help over and over.
Generic/boring bosses.
No loot, reward other than soul ash
No npc bodyguards from covenants you can bring with you.
No reputation from doing it.
No portal back to start at end of each level if you need to go back for chest or unexplored areas.
Nothing special with the curiously large maw rats
Floor boss just standing by the portal like an idiot. Could place him anywhere on the level for variety since can’t use portal until he’s dead anyway
Floor boss just being generic bloke but slightly larger
