I’m not sure that 9.2 is the final patch, actually. He says Shadowlands is the final act of the first saga of Warcraft. So what he’s saying is that 10.0 is gonna be a completely new Azeroth or way of seeing Azeroth, not that there’s no 9.3.
Either way, here’s my analysis:
Way too much self-aggrandisement. It doesn’t look bad, but… like, come on.
The systems that have ravaged Shadowlands are not going anywhere. The ripcord just got pulled, but that certainly didn’t make me come back.
The class sets … well, for a place that creates afterlives and makes almost anything happened, their theme is a bit overly focused, however getting the class set mechanic back is going to be nice.
It’s uhhh… a long time in the making. Good thing there appears to be 2 zones. Sort of justifies it, although perhaps splitting things off in smaller deliverables would be a smart thing to do.
I really like the idea of learning a language and using that to unlock areas of the maps, however you must promise me, PLEASE, that unlocking this language does not mean rep grinds and that it doesn’t end up unlocking 20+ dailies I must do every day. Please don’t do that again, I implore you! You had it pretty much right in 9.0, we just needed the unlocked areas to be harder. You were so close - so get it right this time.
The tier sets all look the same, near enough… Also no mention of what the actual content is. Dungeon, raid, the usual but what do we actually do there outside of raiding/dungeons? No insight what so ever.
The guy makes it sound like it’s going to be more timegating content to unlock things in the new zone.
It comes across as more WoW for those who enjoy WoW.
It’s the standard package with a new zone and a raid and quests, as well as new Mythic+ and PvP Season.
I liked the visuals a lot. Both the zone visuals and also the tier sets. Good stuff.
Otherwise it wasn’t a super in-depth preview. And there doesn’t seem to be anything controversial about the patch either. Like I said, it’s more WoW for those who enjoy WoW as it is. Standard package. And that’s okay, but… I was kind of hoping for more. I’m not as sold on this as I was on Nazjatar AND Mechagon.
And I still don’t have a timeframe to work with, which is a bit annoying. And they are quite careful to avoid talking about whether there’s a patch 9.3 planned or not – which is understandable, but still annoying.
Anyway, it was okay, but just okay. I enjoy WoW so I’ll enjoy this as well.
But for the people who were hoping to be blown away and see all their issues get fixed, this probably didn’t meet expectations.
Idk man. Learning new language and br on alien planet is cool concept…but in the content department im confused…
Ok raid…tazaves to m+…More conduits and soulbinds…
and he specificaly saif…you have to unlock thing to get side quests more dailies etc…like thats just a kothria 2.0…i seriously cba farming like a moron yet another zone for rel and sockets ffs…
But wait!..new mounts …mounts mounts mounts mount…like omfg save word for everythibg…ye our game is big pile of poop…but new mount mount mount pets mount…gtfo with mounts omg.
Kind of disappointed with this information or rather lack of. Not even a date. They kept saying how amazing the art is and bewildering the physics are but honestly it just looks like titan stuff to me. Not that’s it’s bad but for once I wasn’t blown away? I guess the robots are cute…
I look forward to this cypher thing at least but I just wanted a bit more info to hype up for.
