drop combat instantly in pvp scenarios, preventing players from going meld → drink
“absorb” flying projectiles a.k.a being able to vanish them (getting hit with everything even if I time my meld correctly)
I mean I leveled my nelf priest because I’ve been excited to play with this mechanic in wrath. Im pretty sure it somewhat worked during the prepatch. How did Blizzard manage to butcher it so bad is beyond my understanding.
Just to be clear - a racial, one which people pick the said race for HASNT worked since the wrath launch. How is it possible that the main RACIAL is bugged for more than a month? XD XD
Its not bugged its working perfectly fine, we just dont have spell batches anymore. Thats what “absorbed” spells originally. You can still do it if you time it correctly.
It’s not working fine. It’s bugged. When for instance a warlock is casting fear and I use shadowmeld before his cast finish his fear will still land.
Same with all other spells with a cast time.
Shadowmeld is completely useless now. Please fix.
Not bugged, just not interacting as it was back then. When they removed/lowered the spell batches into being basically not be there during WoD (I think it was atleast) they changed how shadowmeld works. If you have any dot on you (if you are fighting a lock you will have one) will make you get out of shadowmeld just like if you vanished.
The code it self is not broken is that spell batching was removed that breaks interactions that have held true on pservers because they try to emulate how it interacted as they cant take the code and use it.
Ok not bugged but it’s completely useless then as I Will always have dots up from ele shamans, warlocks, mages priests and hunters. Tell me what’s the point of having shadowmeld then as it does nothing when using it.
Even when I have dots on me, the enemy player casting a spell on me should stop when I shadowmeld and that’s currently not the case.
There are many situations where you dont have dots on you, or they fade out quickly. You can also ambush or hide when you see enemies approaching. It’s useful.
I see what you are saying about spell batching and vanishing spells, but I’m getting randomly casted at through my meld (e.g. getting sheeped in cs+nova, using meld on the poly cast and it still goes through), its at least supposed to interrupt enemy cast in progress.
Also, it doesn’t instantly drop combat in PVP scenarios, I remember druids going for meld+flight form during the original wrath - this is currently not possible.
