I am about to start the Shaman class quest in Legion for unlocking the special looks for Doomhammer.
I saw that some apprentices requires the special specialization so I wanted to ask do I have to change my spec for them or I can put “Loot specialization” for enhancment so I can obtain the stormcaller look of doomhammer?
Not sure am I looking to it right, but elemental spec gets some fist weapons apprentices, enha doomhammer and resto some other type of mace.
Thanks, it’s still a bit confusing since it’s a long quest chain, but it would be silly that if I am playing only elemental spec to get only fist weapon apprentices and maybe I would like doomhammer.
I’m assuming you mean the hidden artifact appearances, correct? The quests / campaigns are weapon specific anyways, so the set loot specialitazion doesn’t work.
For hidden artifact drops (such as Doomhammer drop), you DON’T need to be in correct loot spec if I recall correctly. For the Doomhammer one back in Legion, I had enh, but for resto, I was in ele and I still got it. I also remember other hidden artifacts, and there are plenty of reports people being in ‘wrong’ loot spec, yet they still received them. The important part is to just be careful regarding some hidden prerequisites, that’s all.
That’s correct. Whether it’s from a specific drop, random drop, withered training or whatever, as long as you acquired the weapon itself the item can drop for you no matter what your spec is.
