Shaman Fire Elementals now the size of a companion pet :(

With the new patch Shaman elementals have been hit by by a Sulfuron-sized nerf hammer, and are now the size of a companion pet for anyone who isn’t the Shaman.

What a terrible, unilateral change to put on all players. I will miss seeing my friend’s Fire Elemental - not only was it fun and immersive, but it was useful to see when he had used his cooldowns too.

We tested Resto Druid treants are the same size for everyone, so why was Shaman elementals targeted?

Please can we have the option to turn this off, or only have it turned on while in a raid group? This is really not necessary for the majority of the game. Thanks.

The less screen clutter, the better. This is not immersion but visual noise

It should be an option.

Its pretty lame for when you’re just questing or duoing, it actually makes them look ridiculous right now.

It should be an option and out of all the pets in game, fire elemental nuking at range is probably the least likely to be cluttering people’s pov.

Warlock, hunters and any other pet class be warned, you’ll be next.

P.S Earth Elemental is still the same size for everyone. So what’s the logic behind that.

My shaman doesn’t care what size the pet is as long as it does its job.

I’ve had complaints about the size of my earth elemental in the past. Ideally we’d get glyphs like frost mages have (had?) where you could slot a glyph to make them smaller.

Side note: The hunter I regularly run M+ with recently confided in me that he sometimes confuses my ghost wolf form for one of his pets.

Does seem random to target fire elemental like this. In a world with BM Hunters, Demonology Warlocks, Unholy DKs… there are a lot worse offenders.

I think a Blizz dev thought it was a real enemy fire elemental and got humiliated

Too late, Demo’s Felguard is shorter than my warlock (A Draenei) is, not very imposing for the main feature of the spec…

Fire Elemental is now slightly bigger then Pebble, the old earth elemenetal you find in Deepholm.

Can’t understand this change especially when other pets are much bigger and Earth Elemental hasn’t been touched at all.

Maybe it’s because, being a tank pet, Earth elemental is seen as more important than DPS-only pets like the fire elemental and Felguard?

I understand screen clutter is an issue by now, but at least make pets look somewhat impressive to the players controlling them, it’s possible to make them look smaller to everybody else to compensate.

My felguard is in Retail already a joke. Even smaller and it is soon the size of the original imp.
