Playing ret paladin and seeing shaman on the opposite side doing much more DPS, healing and be better at tanking and basically all aspects of the game has been frustrating.
Now I am watching a stream how shaman is fast solo xp boosting its own alts without any struggles in SM Library and shamans will be able to solo dungeon boost itself from 40 to 50 next phase (in ZF etc). Any nerfs soon?
Makes absolutely NO SENSE to work on 99th percentile as a basis unless you want to balance classes around the top 4 percentiles players… which obviously nobody does.
If anything this proves that paladin are harder to compete with and require very specific setup (and terribly boring gameplay but that’s another story).
Regardless even at 99%, enh is still by FAR the best melee.
And even if you work with a medium, paladin is actually the worst melee dps class while, again, shaman is top tier, 2nd to melee hunters, beating rogues, ferals, paladins and warriors.

Should have stopped at dps and tanking but you had to ham it up by adding healing. FYI shamans are last as healers, yes even holy paladins parse better. If it wasn’t for Shamanistic Rage I doubt resto shamans would even be taken.
As for the damage shamans do… no one was complaining or caring about shamans in P1 when the dps specs were memes, and people bring up Shamans being buffed since the start as if it is some privilege. While dps paladins were enjoying P1 dps shamans were waiting, all that time, looking at all the other classes having fun.
Comparison is the thief of joy, stop caring about a class you have no competition with. Don’t worry, big burly enhancement shamans aren’t gonna steal your night elf priestesses by parsing better… or?
I think whats making the top dps Rets have around 700 dps is one of the guys has The Jackhammer which is BiS for Retribution but its almost impossible to get but that weapon is so crazy it adds roughly 200 Dps.
We cant be balanced around having a weapon that has 0.01% drop chance. We need to be balanced around the weapons in Gnomergan. With those weapons even with the buff our DPS has beem improved 5% with the last buff but that won’t be enough considering we are 40% behind Shamans on 99% parses.
They aren’t in 90-100 percentile parses. You have the best interupt in the game which is important in the Raid on the last 2 bosses.
We don’t bring a lot of damage right now and we don’t bring anything else to the raid. We have improved Might that benefits 3 people in a raid for a minor damage boost. We can’t even interupt anymore because we are locked into Exorcism and Art of War.
Shamans bring S+ tier tanking, melee dps and range dps and healing. Paladins bring F tier healing and melee dps and A tier tanking.
Shamans bring better buffs then Ret. They bring Wind Fury, 26 Str and Agility. Thats better than 100 attack power for a lot of classes and Wind Fury is the best buff in the game and nothing comes close to that.
They are hybrid why do they get to be good whilst we are bad? Do you think horde players are happy they or OP or sad? They are happy because they get easy clears and Wind Fury easy in every raid group. Whilst Alliance and Paladins suffer.
Rogues you get easy life in PvP and your way stronger than Ret there. For PvE you are stronger than us right now as well. I’m not saying Rogue doesn’t need anything going forward in PvE you just are not as in a dire straight as Ret right now. Long term is would be smart to give Rogue some value in the Raid but Paladins are extremely bad right now.
Paladin was middle of the pack in phase 1. Now we are buttom below feral + everything else if you dont count Frost Mage. The misinformation coming from you is anstounding.
The two worse melees in phase 1 were Enhancement and Retribution Paladins. The logs were just inflated for 2 weeks because Rets had Verigans Fist going into BFD but after other melees got weapons we fell behind hard.
Theres major problems with our runes because they messed them up from phase 1. They dont work with abilities or talents because they are bugged and we have all paladin runes slot choosing between utility or damage so everyone takes damage.
Its so messed up right now Prot, Ret and Holy all take the same Rune Setup. The best part is if they nerfed all of our damage Runes it wouldnt change anything because the other Runes choices dont bring damage so we would still take the nerfed damaging ones.
We are the only class that has damage runes competing with utility runes making every paladin go the same rune set up. The only thing wr lack as Paladins is damage too, we dont need utility so thays the worst part about this. We take the runes for damage and still do bad damage.
