Things to come?
I was doing a leveling dungeon in TWW with bots,
and I noticed the tank was a shaman, shooting chainlightning.

Dont know if we will see shaman tanks but if im allowed to be an Oracle for a bit.

Im pretty sure we will see more specs in the future. Maybe even one or two tank and heal specs and a bunch of dps specs. Probably melee specs for classes that only have ranged options like mage and warlock. And some ranged options for classes like warrior and dk.

And im sure we will see a thrid dh spec and atleast one spec that uses ranged weapons.

And i dont know why but i kinda have the feeling we wont even have to wait till midnight. Maybe they pull out a couple of bew specs for the second season of tww and then some for the third. Keeps things fresh and bring people to stay subbed and lvl new toons.

A melee-midrange warlock healer similar to guldan could be kind of cool. Imagine a warlock in melee draining souls of all mobs, and then aoe healing the group

Shaman tanks are obviously really nice, but at some point, I have like 10 classes in my mind that I’d like to see, so I probably won’t even see half of it, or any

I mean, if you think about it. There are a few other classes that can be seen as tanks.
So if it ever comes to a vote. Shaman will be up there for becoming a tank.
In my opinion that is. :smiley:

If I played a Mage, I’d love a proper Battle Mage kind of spec. With 2 handed staff in one hand and a sword in the other!!

But being serious, I think we’d see a Demon Hunter 3rd spec being added before anything spec related is added to another class currently in World of Warcraft.

I’m pretty sure that I’d main a shaman if it had a Tank spec.

I believe that the original design for Shaman had 3 roles;
Healer, DPS (elemental), and Tank (Enhacement).

Which is why Shaman can use a shield, though none of the specs really benefit from a shield except as a stat-stick.

I would no life shaman tank but I would want it with two handed axes or maces not shields.
Also priest holy magic dps

I think it would be pretty troll from Blizzard to put a Shaman tank in the main scenario and then not implement the spec later, especially because this has been demanded since the beginning of times.

Call it hopium if you want but I think tank Shaman implemented mid expansion like AugVoker is possible, also makes a lot of sense with the new class Earthen which can be Shamans and they could “teach” other Shamans how to commune with earth element or something in order to tank.

And we all would love it.

Call me crazy but my own theory is that we will see new specs for almost every class over the course of this Trilogie starting with season two or three of tww.

Enhancement would have been a melee support spec with focus on totems.
In fact all 3 shaman specs were support-like, with Elemental supporting casters more, Enhancement supporting melee more, and Restoration supporting the bench
