Confirmed with datamine that apparently WoE requires a shield to use the rune. Anyone who said this was busted is kidding themselves. Tweak it sure but now it isn’t even usable. I really hope this is a joke.

Fair nerf let’s be honest. Shaman is so insanely overpowered hahaha. They buffed the shield passive though.
Elemental will still be good and enh is still super strong. We still get other good runes and we have a crapload of utility

Engrave your gloves with the Lava Lash rune:
You charge your off-hand weapon with lava, instantly dealing 150%100% off-hand Weapon damage. Damage is increased by 50%125% if your off-hand weapon is enchanted with Flametongue.
So wf/ft will be the new meta then probably.

To be honest I really want to understand the logic though? Tweak the rune fine, but explain to me how they are better than any other class.
Druids have basically a very similar kit, plus insane bursts. Healing etc.
Rogues have an entire kit to 1v1 any class ever.
I can keep going but, shaman isn’t godtier, people just suck at PvP.

Just tank with shamanistic rage instead and get healers that aren’t asleep, it works just fine. As a bonus you won’t have to spend gold on mana pots.
It is intended for tanking not for dominating everyone else in pvp. Come on bro, on my newly dinged shaman in leveling greens I was already bullying bis geared players. It was CLEARLY too strong.
But we can ask why metamorph is not touched since that is a similiar situation. Drain life seriously needs to get nerfed.

Ele still good, yeah. I don’t see why they would GUT this rune for duel wield, people whined because they got deleted by a class that was previous garbage in p1, I would rather fight a shaman than a fully geared rogue at the moment.
I know what you mean. But we all knew shaman would be next on the chopping block. People were rolling on the floor bawling their eyes out about shamans.
The poor paladins have so much sodium crust around their eyes they can hardly see anymore.
Dont worry we will still be strong, and these terrible paladin players will continue to cry rivers of salt.

That will already happen with the current lightning shield tho. Never pop shield in BB lol

I would assume it only deals damage when someone strikes you. Its not an aoe aura.
says it deals damage to all in 8 yards nothing else so like a perm dmg aura old one was dmg on strike
