ele might be viable dps at 40, ele can do some good dps even in naxx, its just that it ooms so fast, but in SOD shamanistic rage fixes the mana issues. Oh and ele scales poorly with SP, so with low SP, ele base damage is high.
Tauren druids exist. So that frees shamans from being WF bots.
Hunters give Aspect of the Lion, that is Blessing of the Kings in a nutshell.
As mentioned above shaman are new one of the best Horde tanks at the moment.
don’t like tanking.
This is unrelated, but I recommend installing whoa BlueShamans addon to make them blue in your UI again.
Allready installed.
Welcome to balance druid world. Oh wait… if they dont change the dumb moonkin form and we still just have 3 % spell crit we still going to suck in grps. Especially now when everybody wants you to be feral…
could be worse, shaman currently just doesnt get invited to groups if they arent tanking.
I’d love it if Shamans get a Bloodlust rune in the next phase. And I hope that Wild Strikes stays relevant for Horde Druids after Windfury Totem comes into play. I suspect it will since it would remove the need for Shamans to totem twist, and they could always use it if for whatever reason the Druid were asked to drop Wild Strikes in favor of something else.
I was speaking about windfury totem which in fact does grant only one extra attack just like wildstrikes. The shaman weapon imbue windfury grants 2 extra strikes.
windfury totem
My point stands.
Maybe if they could add nature damage on curse of elements and add another buff someway that doesn’t afffect PVP, where ele is already strong, it might work to make a half decent dps spec.
That they are, for now. It doesn’t do a whole lot for shaman healers or dps who don’t like tanking.
I feel like a broken record for repeating this but the general sentiment about faction balance in classic was that the Alliance was ahead of the Horde because of paladins and blessings. Why in the hell was shaman then made less valuable when it should have been paladin who had to give part of its toolkit to others?
I want to see what has been done for paladins be done for shamans, that is all. As it is right now it almost feels like the devs looked at which faction plays classic more and just made sure to satisfy that majority(Alliance) and barely bothered with the consequences for the Horde(Shamans).
Way to go missing the point on both accounts. You compare a used to be meme dps spec to a whole class and keep bringing it up in a topic after the rework.
You can keep pretending boomkins will be bad -and maybe they’ll be bad, who knows what will change - but right now if you make a lvl 60 spec with the current runes and keep in mind that starsurge is an instant cast woth low mana cost and remember starfire, both doing arcane dmg, thus both benefit from curse of shadows unlike meme ele in pve. Then unchanged you can offheal(now instant with the rune), you can still cr and you bring the 3% crit party buff while doing dmg yourself(all reasons why at least in my era and som guilds we already took them in the raid) - not looking as bad at all as you try to make it look.
Then again feral, windfury just being in cat or bearform and 3% crit to melee? yes please and who the hell needs shamans in the group over that.
Right now shaman can tank and with healing rain and earthshield you will invite them to a group. As dps tho? lol!
I am curious if they’ll keep up later with other classes doing much more dmg, both threat and dps wise. Imo it was an oversight baking in tanking with rockbiter weapon, thus preventing them from getting wf buff - maybe it will be changed later on.
And once we get plate tanks who would take a shaman when you can have a warr dw tank and pump dmg?
Therefore as meme as it may sound i wouldn’t be surprised if shaman will only be taken for the lol threat reducing totem.
Edit: quote added
Where did you get that information from? Wowhead says it has 4 sec interval.
Horn of Lordaeron is so inferior compared to BoM that you won’t even buff hunters with that because of how insignificant it is.
Also competes with divine storm rune in chest slot.
In game tests.
Except a holy paladin doesn’t need divine storm, perfect match. Also, I’d like to have that such inferior spell(horn of lordaeron) on my shaman thank you very much. I have to wait till 42! to get it.
Shaman, big utility and buff class… stuck with 20 strength totem till 32 when we get our inferior windfury, as of SoD, compared to druids.
And you dare turn your nose to getting stuff you have no business having after your already absurd utility toolkit.
Oh yes. Source: trust me bro.
What could be more perfect than to spend one of your rune sockets to give hunters 6 agi.
Take it. Take that stupid horn from us, please. We don’t need it.
Where is your source then? And if it is four seconds, maybe they realized how absurd it is/was, that still leaves it better than a measly 5 health totem that you can LoS over a bump in terrain or have a pet or wand take care of.
The faction with fear ward got a better tremor totem on top, unreal.
This very paladin at 19 provides with Horn of Lordaeron 11 str and agi, no idea where you are coming with that 6 value.
You do come off as someone who hasn’t read your own class toolkit and dismissed parts of it as useless, comes with the privilege of being favored by balance geniuses.
My source is wowhead, as I said in my first commentary.
So what? It is still inferior to might, and most holy paladins would prefer seal of martyrdom or even DS in that slot.
So very nice for paladins to have so many options while shaman has a 20 strength totem to buff the party. And at 32 it will have a worse windfury, and at 42 it will get that agi totem that you are so easily discarding.
And I doubt everyone will think like you that Horn of Lordaeron is useless for holy paladins.
Every one of my points so far stand, maybe I was incorrect about some values. This paladin was my first char that I started SoD with and that is when I tested the runes.
Maybe if you’d do more of that, ya know testing yourself, you wouldn’t appear as a herpaderpa who only glanced over the wowhead tooltip, saw no keyword damage thus “me no take!” reaction.
Actually it might happen just that unless they change smth about the runes, since surely at lvl 60, as you muppet probably got it by now, the rune scales with level and won’t provide just the 6 agi you read, thus providing raw stats which are better than ap in a comparable amount since agi gives hunters crit as well, and since they already get 10% more stats on top of the 10% they buff other, they will want that instead of hawk. You could argue that hunters would still want to use hawk if they spec for it, but wtf do you even know about that.
Pala healers(yes there’s more than just swinging a 2h as you muppet might think for a pala) might just use that rune in that slot if they don’t bring anything new.
For someone as snarky as you are, you’re just as clueless.
I it is actually 17 at level 25, but there is 0 reason to use it as it is either it or Blessing of Might , it only helps horde as they have no pala , as the 10% stat increase you get which does not stack too.
Cry me a river poor shaman.
Right well horde atm has no blessing of might or 17 str and agi from horn of lordaeron, horde gets 20 str from shaman. Where is the blessing of might equivalent for shamans? It is so tempting to ad hominem but you are just a poor troll.
Hey 20 strength is almost the same , is your buff 2 min too ? or 5?
Don’t worry I am sure you will get there eventually . Idk why you cry about horn which is completely useless.
