Shamans not even worth an april joke to blizzard, sad truth

Says everything: “No adjustments needed.”

At least they are actually acknowledging they can’t make any more fun of the class. I’m hoping to be top dawgs in the expansion since we have been a total joke for a whole expac pretty much.

Just an acknowledging nod that they will change them soon ™.

So you took a customary April’s Fool joke, ran away with it and smashed yourself over the head with it?

Go you. Very slow golf clap

I mean, it is the April 1 article, but there feels like there might be some truth to it =(

Shamans have lovely visuals and class fantasy, but they never seem to actually feel mechanically competent or shine on meters. Played one for 3 years in TBC-Wrath before giving up waiting for a buff. As far as I can see, it still hasn’t happened. Poor guys waited like 6 months at the start of BfA just to get a 5% flat increase - that tells you a lot about how much care and attention is going into them I feel!

In past interviews they acknowledge to do reworks only with new expansions. Well, if I think about it, every major change comes only with new expansions…

Yeah, but they were so badly in need of adjustment, and noises were made that things were being looked at, and then, months later, when a proportion of shamans had already re-rolled… 5%.

That was an insult to everyone who hung on to their shaman believing that they’d get some attention. The whole community knew shamans were underperforming - why did it take so long to address it?

Great class fantasy, constantly let down by devs who apparently don’t play it.

  A favourite class of mine that is always overlooked. Nothing to analyze here, either you get the joke or you don’t…

They do. Ion himself plays an Orc shaman.

Then I’m confused /shrug

Laughing at the fact he hasn’t even bothered with enhance…

He has Always been a restoration shaman.

And one who doesn’t care for transmog either. It’s disgusting to see the head of wow being such a person, to be honest. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is the reason the game went downhill in every departure but raiding.

This has to be sarcasm

Ion does not know shat about Class Design and it shows.

No, not really. You have to understand his mentality to see why he has a character like this one which also reflects on the game design on a bigger level. It’s infuriating when you see the connected dots.

He isn’t the only one who worked on the class design. But their overall design choices were bad for the game by streamlining too much while also manipulating the player base into things they aren’t aware of until it hits the fan (MAU-centric gameplay design choices).

Not everyone cares about transmog.

That’s not the point here. Like I said, you have to understand his mentality to see the bigger picture here and what kind of person leads the development team at the moment.

You used his ‘‘non transmogging’’ as a dot, that is enough for me to take your opinion and throw it out the window.

This year’s notes are pretty funny in general!

Except for DK ones. I utterly fail to see what’s funny about DK notes.
