Shammy problems with Deff and mobility

acording to statistics, among TOP classes, that die first in solo shuffle, shamans are on first and second place (Ele shaman on first and Enh shaman on second);

Well done shammy class developers, you deserve bonuses for good work <3
do you even understand how much pain and stress we go through when 99% time we get trained, 99% time we try to survive, run after target, heal, and sometimes damage… and in 65% games we die first in solo shuffles?..

we have 2 MEGA problems

  1. We need passive damage reduction! maybe make on of the shields undispellable and make it reduce incoming damage?
  2. We need mobility, in shadowlands bloodlast gave us sprint, so we had double sprint, that was awesome, give it back please

Their excuses for not giving Shamans any survivability than a 8 seconds dmg reduce (that cant even be used during stuns), is that we do a lot of dmg , however, we got nerfed on this reset and our PvP ability unleash shield got nerfed

This weekend I’ve lost 2 days of my life, playing soloq as elemental. Losing over 300 rating because of overtuned assassination rogues. Have to wait between 10 to 30 minutes in queue to lose… because you have nothing to use to keep yourself alive, to stop the pressure of only one simple character, it is not ok. Losing because of bad play or unlucky loby mates, it is acceptable. But losing because of bad game design, this is not.
There is rework for ret talents, how about rework for elemental defensive kit? no ramp up for spirit wolf talent or some interaction with earth and lightning shields that prevent healing reduction for elemental, so at least we can survive somehow with the help of our healers.
“Masters of the elements” but cannot defend themselves with elements, in any situation.

give us passive damage reduction on our elemental shield, like when we get hit it gives -1% damage reduction and stacks 20 times, stacking once per second; so if we get trained people gonna change target, and then make switches… i think it gonna work good

and why do we always have those BUGs? in shadowlands we had bug, every time we joined Arena we had to use weapon enhancements again, if no they did not work… now if we change talents our shields dissepear from us and we have to re use them, why? why should changing PVP talent remove shields from me? and not remove from my teammate?

idk i am getting so upset, all the game people train me, all Melee classed do so much damage to me and i have nothing to run from them; ok maybe the point is, that they must get punished cause they are attacking us in Melee, so our shield damages them, we also damage them, but the problem is that all other Melee classed tunnel so hard, that we are always at 30% HP, if there are casters, i have huge problems getting to them; in Shadowlands we hade very good mobility cause Bloodlast gave us sprint and we hade double sprint / double removing root effects; give it back please, and make bloodlast out of GCD, give a bit more damage to mastery build please, i mean Lava lash…

Absolutely agree with above posts.
We need a buff on defensive side and even in mobility.
Damage is ok after all.
Give us some more Survivability, that’s all we need.

remember when they said Reincarnation counted as a defensive hahahahahahahahaha!
It’s not secret we need some Mobility and Survivability, relying on your team mates to stop you dieing in SS is painful, it makes low Rating hell! I had a much better time between 1600-1900 then I did 1000-1400.

I just don’t feel confident that we’ll get anything for the rest of the season at the very least :frowning:

You managed to get to 1.9 as ele in SS? Big gz…I wish I could pass 1.2, I`m stuck in limbo

Im not the worst not the best player, with some chars I managed 2k rating so I would say Im average...but damn Ele shaman is bad to play!!! People emphasize those proc moments when indeed, we can do a lot of damage but most of the times, 80% of the times, ele are kiting around the pillars like its 2007 , praying to God to please give us ascendance proc or something... Thats if youre lucky and you dont face 2 melees,or a single warrior....or a rogue....or any melee because youre 100% guaranteed a nice training and maybe die in a stunlock.

I know, “git gud, theres ele with 2.5k rating in SS”, sorry im not a multi glad blizz champ

Enhancement is slightly better than Elemental in survivability, for only 1 reason:

Insta-heals (with 5+ maelstrom weapon)

That’s it.

In high keys I have significantly lower damage taken as Elly. Sure, ranged is always a bit favoured than melee in having lower damage taken, particularly during weeks like this with Spiteful.

That said, Enhancement is more difficult than most other Melee speccs due to lack of strong survivability combined with managing a complex rotation. Yes, let’s not forget that Enhance has complex rotation, combined with having to dodge absolutely everything and a 1,5 min cooldown 40% damage reduction and some self-healing (much lower than a SP though) makes Enhancement

a melee glass-cannon.

Elemental however, needs raw output buff and insta-heals in my opinion. The most frustrating thing with Elemental is that the specc is very good on paper but relatively poor in current M+ and VOI. That’s why I think BLIZZARD doesn’t buff Elemental, because it looks good on paper and that’s the frustrating thing about it! It just doesn’t have the right toolkit for the current PvE encounter design.

I really hope someone at Blizzard reads this: The problem with Elemental in raiding is that the AoE has long ramp-up time. As said so many times before. The encounters; Broodkeeper, Raz etc., have add phases which require quick and consistent AoE which Enhance can deliver with PW+LL+LB cleave. Elemental needs to

  1. Specc into LMT builds which sacrifices single-target DPS
  2. Set up Stormkeeper + LMT + PW + LB + Earthquake + CL + Earthquake + Earthquake + CL + Earthquake + Earthquake

This sequence deals tons of DPS, if adds stay for a long time, but adds need to die quicker so you end up not being able to cast your spells and your 7-second Earthquakes don’t get all ticks off!
