How do I change from cheetah to flying form, or from flying form to cheetah form? \
How do I go to cheetah form in ironforge for example “If I needed” It automatically put me in flying form, did blizzard butcher this?
If I’m in combat and press travel, I’ll be a cheetah, then when exist combat, again how do I instantly go to flying? Do I must go to normal form then press flying again with using two GCD’s just to go to flying?
I feel that these are big issues with druid and I’m surprised that it went this many expansion since they’ve merged the cheetah with flying into one form called travel, it is one big mistake, I don’t understand which dev did this, but it’s horrible move, and I can’t believe it still exists.
Unless you can actually do what I asked in question 1,2,3 then it’s very very bad.
This is only possible in a few certain situations. Example below.
Just to prevent a misunderstanding: There is the Stag Form Ability and there is the Cheetah which is the ground mode for the Travel Form Ability. If you are in a flying Zone then there is only one situation how you can willingly enter Cheetah, which you explained under your third point; through entering combat before.
You are right, if you are in combat and use Travel Form you’ll be in Cheetah. If you end combat and press Travel Form again you’ll be unshaped.
Now instead of pressing the second Travel Form use /cancelform
You’ll immediately be in Flying Form given that combat has ended.
And yes, it doesn’t make sense to me why it is as complicated like that.
I bought the tome, I got seperate button, if I’m in Stag and I click on the travel, it first put me into normal form, then I need to click it again to become a bird.
So no that doesn’t do it.
Your post did not answer what I asked, if I write the macro after combat it did put me into bird, this is true.
But if you are not in combat, show me a video where you can switch from bird to cheetah and from cheetah to bird without going to normal form.
Adriala did explain it though. Flying form and travel from are now one thing whereas earlier it was two seperate things. If you can fly in the zone, pressing travel form will automatically put you into bird form, no matter what. Should you be in combat, it will put you into the slow (70%) travel cheetah/stag form since you cannot use mounts in combat.
Your question was whether it is possible or not. My answer was yes, but only under certain circumstances. If you want to swap directly without those requirementes then I think it’s not possible. Nonetheless I guess they simply forgot to make it work as it used to be. I mean swapping directly from Cheetah to bird itself is extremely weird, but behold how it’s done the other way around, from bird to Cheetah:
Enter bird form
Enter combat
Press Tree Form (the stance, not Tree of Life) or Stag Form
You get an Error message and somehow end up in Cheetah
As I said, it doesn’t make sense to me and I prefer the previous system with seperated stances for each form. It’s annoying when I’m in Dolphin Form and I jump out of the water and the game delays the autoshift until I fall back into the water and end up as bird under water, which slows me down.
