I imagine this has already been suggested, but does anyone else think that some of the cost of using the transmog on the Grand Expedition Yak should be shared with the owner?
I don’t own the Grand Expedition Yak, so whenever I get a new piece of gear that I don’t like the look of, I usually sidle up to a player on a Yak, and quickly transmog’ it, rather than go to the actual NPC.
It just seems reasonable to me that after spending 120k on a mount, the player should at least get a few gold every time someone uses the thing. Maybe 10% of every transaction?
There I am quickly using my vendor mount to get rid of some trash or repair my gear and before I can jump off it rando one, two and three are “quickly” making use of the transmogrifier… Meaning the if I dismount I’m the rude one so I have to sit there and wait till y’all are finished!
Just buy your own mount! Or at the very least ask first! Because your “quickly” is often not that quick and rather inconvenient.
I don’t want your gold I just want to be able to move on when I’m done using my mount
These are usually players who are idling in a capital city, have been there for ages, and remain there for ages afterwards. A lot of players seem to ride around on a Yak just because they see it as a status symbol, rather than for the utility. I can’t recall ever having someone dismount during or immediately after me using it, but I take your point
It usually takes me no more than a couple of seconds to do, as I’m not hunting through gear. All I’m doing is reapplying my saved transmog profile.
Transmog is meant to be a gold sink, not a way to pass gold between players. And really other than vendor mounts or heirloom upgrades (which many refrain from doing) there aten’t that many gold sinks in the game.
I dont know about this…
TBH I sometimes do sidle up to people if I have a super quick transmog change (like 1 piece), but thats coz Im too lazy to get on my own Yak!!LOL
The suggestion was made a few years ago and actually got a Blue Response saying that although it seems like a good idea, the player base would find a way to exploit it.
