The last time I’ve had to use the CS I had to wait a little over a month and only got copy&paste replies and if an actual person answered a ticket, they didn’t really help me. Just told me to check wowhead etc or to just try it sometime in the future^^’

This happened years ago, and I have never contacted customer support since.
I had just bought a new gaming PC, specifically to play World of Warcraft and some other game, but I can’t remember which.
When I was speccing out my PC I googled what type of mouse the best World of Warcraft players use, MMO mouse, had no idea what that was so I googled it and Razor was at the top of the list.
So I bought one and started reading up on mouse macros, felt like it was cheating, so I contacted customer support to make sure that it wasn’t.
I remember there was something in the ToS about not using automation so I specifically asked if it was ok for me to use an MMO mouse and use mouse macros in-game.
Was looking for a yes or no response from customer support but instead was told: that as long as I’m required to be at my keyboard to control my character I should be fine.
So I asked again: is it cheating or not?
Got the same response, instead of getting a yes or no answer, I felt like the onus was put on me to make the decision.
Ended up not using mouse macros, no idea if I can or can’t use them.
In BFA it wasn’t like that, I remember they helped me a lot (which is part of why I still play today) with things that nowadays are unthinkable.
And yes now it’s either a stupid AI that doesn’t understand anything and even if you manage to contact a human they just won’t do anything for you.
It all started in Shadowlands, which also happened to be the worst expansion, coincidence?
Customer service are lovely to me, even to this day. They get to the issue at hand, or help me out the best they can.
Never had a bad experience.
Which part of it?
The customer service used to be Games Masters who would contact you in-game, no matter what your ticket was about.
But now, the standard customer support team may as well not exist as all they ever do is tell you to come to these forums, while virtually never resolving any issue you might have.
The Technical Support team however (if you make a ticket requesting technical support) do still respond the same as the old Games Masters used to, and do a thorough job at trying to resolve any issues you might have.
Because if you can’t play = no chances of liking the game (if you’re new) or you quit (obviously if you can’t even play) = no $$$$ for Bli$$ard.
Whereas if you are contacting for something in-game that means you already paid so they don’t care about you anymore.
Super positive, though to be fair I rely on the Italian customer service which I don’t know if it’s any different, but they’ve always replied and helped me within hours or 1-2 days max even during holidays when I had some sort of problem.
They’ve alway been very kind and helpful so I can’t really complain about it! And even if I play on Argent Dawn and write my tickets in English, I’ve always been contacted back by the Italian team as far as I can remember. Truly one of the best customer services I’ve experienced in general, at the same level of Figma that refunded me 300 euros for a mistake I’ve done with my subscription within 2 days.
I remember once when I reported a problem about a male human face which would see its teeth clip out of the right cheek during the crafting animation, it was fixed the week after!
Probably was in the process of being fixed, you should have done an in game bug report like most people that goes direct to QA.
I suspect you have a ring fenced customer support. I find i really weird that they have Italian support considering how small the Italian player base must be.
That’s what I did! This was back in BFA
I don’t know about the Italian CS, but it exists and it is very efficient!
Contacted cs once about a forum issue where my characters wouldnt load.
Spent a bit troubleshooting with them, they were pretty nice people.
This was during BFA so the wait times werent out of this world with copy paste replies.
Think i’ve made like 3-4 tickets in my entire wow career and they have all been resolved without much issue. Last one was in Shadowlands and was resolved within a few hours (was some bug with a quest iirc).
Its usually so bad that they end up responding to check other sites even tho i told in description that i’v done it.
Wait time is too long, few times my ticket was resolved after 2weeks of waittime even tho nobody responded to it.
But i will give credit where its due, last ticket i was in a ingame chat with gm and within 5min we resolved issue(was surprised they existed, rly nice guy!).
On my Shaman I cleared the raid like 3 times already and for some reason the vault refuses to give me rewards.
I can physically see the rewards are gonna be there the day before reset but oop when the day comes guess what’s there? NOTHING.
Dungeons work properly and I’ve ticketed CS 3 weeks already and I can’t help but feel like it’s gonna be 4 this week.
The response? “maybe you didn’t actually do the raid (:” but with corporate dialect so it stretches to 3 paragraphs of nothing. No Blizzard CS I raided each of these weeks stop trying to gaslight me.
I stg if they compensate me with only 1 missed week of loot this is such garbage.
EDIT: What am I even thinking, compensations? From Blizzard? In 2024?
Basic tech support question, have you actually disabled ALL addons?
My ticket took 2 days.
Yes. Every week.
I have a live experiment on Customer Service now, will see how it goes. There is problem with Hearthstone event achievement with clear technical bug/oversight on Bliz side:
Let’s see how many time will it take for Customer Service to process it and will they come with a decent solution. So far the ticket is laying down in line for 3 days w/o any answer (even automatic one) and estimated time of answer is 8 days 11 hours more.
The support is clearly outsourced to some where like india now. They don’t care they just want to close as many tickets as possible to meet some kind of objective set.
As a test if you open up a ticket under appeal penalty and write something a long the lines of you can’t update your email on your account or something that a normal support person would be able to help you with and you will get a generic boiler plate response.
Like this one I tried earlier lol

There is no support anymore. Every issue i had in past 10 or so years is just automated answers sending links to wowhead or something.
I do miss GMs in game.
Back in the Vanilla, TBC, WoTLK days you had GM figuring out stuff with you or for you, real people, hell i could wait hour or three for one to contact me but it was always there.
Now? 20 days ticket gets no answer or gets automatically closed.
Funny enough when it come to issues that involves paying for sub or in game shop they’re swift as lightning.
