With most MMO’s now they have shared banks, Curreny and money
How come Blizzard have never done this? Without addons it would be really hard to track money and other resources you on alts, And I would say it should be limited to the server the characters are on
Someone like myself I dont really have a main as I enjoy playing all the classes, So having a shared pot of money and resources would be great
I also dont get soulbound items why cant they be account bound? Getting a rare resource for a profession my character doesnt have is a disappointment
ESO does that, but makes you pay for having a somewhat useful bank. I’d rather keep the wow model tbh
To prevent abuse so that the only relevant way to grind / craft something isn’t to have 50 alts on the same server ?
It’s already hard enough to profit from the economy, I’d rather not have to be forever behind because I don’t have 30 lvl 120 characters.
The playerbase is excessively competitive in wow and if there’s a more optimised way to do anything you can be certain that it’ll be abused and become the norm. So I am pretty apprehensive about any account wide stuff because of this kind of side effects.
Just an example : BOA expulsom. Sounds nice right ?
Now if you use an alchemist you can transmut ~300g worth of herbs to craft 5 expulsom, which means that an expulsom will cost 60g to craft. Now if you try to craft it by yourself the current cost on my server is about 300g per expulsom, which means that your transmutation reduce the cost by nearly 80%
Get a few dozen alch, craft hundreds of expulsom every day at a 80% discount and you can destroy the LW, BS, Tailoring and enchantment markets.
And only those with enough characters will be able to abuse this system, turning it into a paradise for hardcore alt lovers and a hell for any casual player.
As for whether it can really happen… It only takes one such guy per server to ruin it forever, but the worst part of this BOA feature is that anyone could cherry pick the server with the lowest herb price, craft the expulsom and then send it to any EU server and destroy the economy.
So yeah, I’d rather not see Blizz mess with the BOA stuff, it can easily get out of hand.
