It’s about time we get the ability to shatter Refulgent Crystal. I am in constant need of Gleaming Shards and Storm Dust, but I literally have hundreds of Refulgent Crystals. Especially now there is a tremendous amount of world content that just awards Epic items that usually end up being disenchanted.

It’s funny that a Q* crystal shatter to one Q* storm dust would still be profitable the way things are now. I feel like a lot of material/crafting costs aren’t anywhere near what Blizzard was planning them to end up at (it’s not just cystals and storm dust). Just out of curiosity, at what point does an epic item become vendor trash vs. disenchant (assuming all talents maxed out)? Around 60g maybe? I haven’t done the math, but it could be less than that now. The occasional leyline residue etc that you get as a side product helps a bit, but the crystals are relatively low value.
