I’m a new Shaman player and have been playing Enhance this entire time, but now I wanna get into Elemental.
What are the pros and cons for using a single 2h vs using a 1h + shield?
I kinda get the feeling that the two options gave the same stats… except that the 1h + shield gives extra armor… Which would mean that the 2h would be the noob pick
I have never liked the looks of shields, and prefer a 2h. I play Dark Iron Dwarf atm and The Black Hand 2h just looks TOO GOOD with the race fantasy. So I’m hoping that it is a viable choice.
Pros of using a 2h I guess would be you only need 1 item to drop in order to fill up both slots. Other than that you really want to get yourself a 1 hander and shield for the extra damage mitigation.
You don’t want to go into PvP anyway with a 2hander lol. The damage reduction from shield is invaluable.
But in an ideal world, you want 1 hander shield always. However, if you get a 2h that’s a huge ilevel upgrade, then obviously you’re going to want to go with that.
