Hi,
i just wanted to ask, if I should use this Trinket whenever the Target has 5 stacks or just keep the DoT running. Or are there factors the answers depends on? (Like time to get up to 5 Stacks)
I am using this trinket with my Affliction Warlock.
Shiver is a verry strange trinket to use. The best option to use it is to leave the dot up for as long as possible, because it can reset even at 5 stacks back to its full duration. However if you are at 5 stacks and the debuff is 2s or less away from dropping its a saver bet to use the on-use-effect
Is this speculation or are there calculations somewhere that show this?
I played around with it a lot on dummies, and on average a 5 stack trinket use does about 30k non and 47k crit, now a full 5 stack debuff does less damage than the on use, but since you don’t have to restack it does more damage. It’s micromanaging a lot and I don’t think it’s really worth it to go out of your way to play this to its fullest potwntial
