So I’ve been farming heroic Shivermaw for like more than a month now, to get the red boots for the heroic Ymirjar set from ICC.
For some reason, it won’t drop, so I thought maybe it has a really low drop chance, but what’s strange here is that any boss that I kill won’t drop anything but gold and Blood of Sargeras.
So what’s going on? how do I get loot from Shivermaw? I really want these red boots
I haven’t gone to try & get those, yet… but I did wonder why they put them on a Legion Dungeon Boss. O.o
… but then, those sets don’t look all that great on a short hairy f… ellah like me, anyway.
A month is nothing it took me 20 weeks of farming naxx to get Kel’Thuzard to drop my druids helm… A month is rookie numbers you gotta pump those numbers up dude.
Go farm for an eye of flame then complain about low drop rates lol

Might be your chances of getting loot from Legion content sucks in general because of PL, but I’m not all that certain how it works.
Biggest problem would be getting a week when Shivermaw’s up… :-/
Is it not random on heroic? I am grinding for the same boots on my 6 plate users, and for some shivermaw is up, and for some its not.
Pretty sure it is random which two bosses you get, ON TOP of the randomness of drops.
It’s a real frigging pain to farm anything from those bosses, especially since half the time you’re waiting for the bland trash to spawn.
Legacy Loot isn’t available until next expansion because blizzard decided the level difference has to be at least 11 for it to work. So you’re stuck with Personal Loot in Legion content.
Which means you only have like a 20% chance for any boss to drop just one loot.

As others have said, it’s just bad luck on your end unfortunately. First you need to get lucky to have the boss spawn and then to get lucky to have the boss drop the boots. All you can do really is keep trying until you get them.

Well, considering it takes double rng to get it, i’d say 1 month is quite alot. I mean, how many times you get shivermaw when you get one try per day? Not counting alts ofc.
