Short feedback for Unholy 11.2.0

  1. I still don’t understand why I have to waste a few talent points to get to and finally choose the Soul Reaper talent in the DK tree.
    Baseline it or add this talent to the Unholy tree.

  2. Improve the Soul Reaper.
    Change something about its functionality, just do something about it. It does so little damage that I’m shocked.
    Soul Reaper is on the level of the DF expansion, not the current expansion…
    same with Summon Gargoyle.

  3. Summon Gargoyle ? Same story as Soul Reaper.

  4. I still don’t understand why I have to pick Army of the Dead to get to Raise Abomination?
    Why do I always have to be punished with wasted talent when choosing?

  5. Where are the improvements or other changes for Rider of the Apocalypse?

  6. Raise Dead in Unholy tree ? Rly ? For Unholy? This should be basline !

  7. Control Undead - Who is this talent for? Because it’s certainly not a talent for Unholy DK.

  8. Delete the damn Outbreak. Just swap it or combine it and call it Soul Reaper.

Yeah, allot of UH DK changes are not good, especially how Gargroyle is still a choice nod with Doomed Bidding and not Unholy Assault. What also kinda pisses me off, is also that we are not getting any thing that actually make us feel like a master of undead and diseases, we are still stuck with the outdated archetype we have had sins Legion. Also, why do we still have 2 talent points for both Festermight and Decomposition, and whats worse, they buffed Decomp but left out it’s secondary effect again, which was the undead extending part. What a joke.

Soul Reaper should be like Execute for warriors, make it a huge spender for huge damage and give it a talent for procs to pop it for “free” every once in a while.

Currently, Legion of Souls is really good. I don’t see the point of having Army of the Dead, Summon Gargoyle, Raise Abomiantion or even Unholy Assault.
Some strange paradox has arisen xD

Since Legion of Souls grants a buff from DnD, it could at least throw DnD on the ground so that the effect of this skill is visible, but now we get another buff to track…

I think that due to the change in effect, it should receive a change in icon - a small thing but it’s nice, but it’s something that the player can also easily change.

In the current version, I don’t see the point of Unholy Assault at all. Do something about it.

I also repeat the request to do something with Gargoyle and Army. They are too weak compared to everything we have.

It’s great that Unholy Pact received a visual effect, but it’s still a weak talent. Strengthen it or add an additional effect, e.g. creates an additional chain between us and all our pets, etc.

Unholy Aura ? 8y…incredible - change it pls.

Desecrate as new talent? For me it’s really good. I like it.

Thers a big difference abomination per hit doing almost 1mil and slappy hands hits for about 500k over entire duration
So yea its about 10mil difference in dmg

Yes but mainly I meant the new functionality i.e. cleaving strikes + ss + aoe festering wound.

Im actually a bit baffled that talent points like improved Death Coil and Coil of Devastation are still a split talent, it should be combined and have something actually cool and new taking its place. For me the Unholy rework does not look like an actual rework, Breath of Sindragosa from Frost DK has more Gameplay changes alone for the Game design compared to the full Unholy Tree combined.

Good things about the new Unholy Talents: Desecrate kinda cool perfect fit on the tree.
All Will Serve redesign looks promising from the early stages.
The new reaping change is kinda cool but i would be more happy if i woulda have seen something i presented in a forum post of mine compared to boring additional damage to minions.

What i really dislike about the rework:
Coil Talents still being split up
Virluent Plague still not having a secodary effect that actually matters.
Army of the Dead being an iconic Unholy or general DK ability getting always force removed via different choices.
imo Army should be always just be a thing and the other pets or abilities should be an addtional thing.
The middle Magus part still is looking questionable from a power standpoint alone. You really need to add something to it like i suggested giving magus maybe a runeforge effect that actually works in cleave scenarios aswell.
Dommed Bidding competing with Gargoyle is still not healthy for the competition of those 2 points.
Unholy assault Bursting Wounds via tooltip is looking unfun so it forces people pressing more Festering Strike same goes for the new Apoc.
Festering Strike only applying wounds without anything added to it besides FSC and being purely physical is a bad sign if we are forced to press it more. It needs a bigger reward with some beneficial things that dont let it overpower other buttons so it does not get degenerate but wounds only is not enough.

tldr: the unholy “rework” does not look like much , it needs more choice and seems like it misses atleast 4 talent points to go into cooler things that are actually new and not recycled visuals and combined mechanics(Legion of Souls being Vile contagion,Pestilence and abomb limb combined with free dnd like what the…

The Frost Tree/Rework looks really really good , Unholy as i said at the start is not even looking remotely close to be at a rework level from spec/class flavour and having plenty of cool and existing stuff via pet enhanceing abilties that make them have more qol while also being impactful as example.

here is what i presented about a month ago as suggestions that are exiting hopefully like there is plenty of really good things in it that i would strongly advice to look into

What should have happen, would be that Blizzard had made Gargoyle a choice nod with Unholy Assault. Also we lost 2 talent in the middle row which never got replaced for any thing new. I have tested UH on PTR, and i got to say, when we take our talents in UH talent tree, there are hardly any choice right now in the middle row. What irks me the most is we have things like Raise Sludge Belcher/Necrotic Plague just waiting to be placed in the talent tree. Now, one thing i think Blizzard should do with Army of the Dead, would be to locate it where Menacing Magus is located, i think Army of the Dead should replace Apocalypse instead of Abom replacing Army.

Another thing i also can’t stress enough about, why do we still have to spend 4 extra talent points in the last row. Not only is most of the passive there bad or boring, but they also don’t offer any thing interesting. I have made suggestions that could be considered to be incorporated to the talent tree, but i can’t see Blizzard even touching 1 thing of what i suggested on the PTR forum.

I would recommend to take a look.

Thers no way gargoyle can be better in any kind of build right now unless gargoyle cd is lower and dmg buffed right now unholy assault is best talent for every kind of build

This is also big no
Lowering 2points talent to 1point will result nerf of the talent unless they leave full efect of 2point talent that probably wont happen
Example: improved death coil was nerfed when they lowered it to 1point talent

This is probably most boring playstyle takes forever to put things up,slow dmg,takes forver to kill anything, no big hits,no killing power unless this build receive insane buff but probably wont happen because dk will became warlock.

Soul reaper should just be an ability you press on enemies at or under 35% health and it puts a massive short duration dot on the target.

I must say, those are excellent ideas.

Great idea but to make it fit the “rot” play style, make it a massive short duration dot (3-4 seconds ? ) that can proc as you said
