Should Blood Elves get the new diversed human skin tones in SL?

i meant more the “no you’re the real racist” ones (and no, i don’t think anyone here is being racist before that comes up)

hurts

That’s all that’s important to me too. People can debate the lore and justification behind it, but I’m just happy to have this positive addition to our customisation options. All good and no bad, imho.

Again I’m sorry that I ever let my discussions get heated, but these sorts of things really do matter to me (and I imagine a lot of other people), so it just makes me happy to see Blizzard making an effort in representation for the first time in their careers. Call it race-baiting all you want, but for me this is just a passion I have, and always have had. People will always have their own priorities.

this is pretty much how i see it

i don’t like the fact that we have to pretend things were always this way, but i think it’s worth the extra customisation

pretty much all there is to it to me

what’s funny is that at the end of the day most belves i make will probably end up being white anyway because i am too used to the fantasy trope that it’s how envision them - i just don’t think we necessarily need to

I can look past that, as I said, I just regard it as a difference in values, I do not see anything wrong with that in itself

If it’s any consolation I would argue just as hard if not harder against white Night Elves :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair, I think the lore is important to; but I don’t see extra skin options as something that needs lore to be explained! Its just a small addition which could always have been there.

Or are they gonna need to explain all the Night Elf eye colors to us to? Dark-skinned Gnomes? And whatever more they’re going to add like the sudden jewelry on characters?

I don’t think this was a heated discussion! I found it rather civil and enjoyable! D:

It was HEATED and I FOREVER will DISLIKE Mogi now.

Huh. Close enough I guess? Like I said, hardly is surprising when they’re bloody everywhere.

your moustache isn’t even that magnificent

All humans come from the same rockin’ sockin’ viking robot statues, their northrend ancestors being everything from lily white to chocolate brown. The curse of flesh works in mysterious ways!

High elves turning brown after migrating to the east isn’t weird in that context. Rock on.

I really hope that there’ll be atleast some mesh changes because these look a little bit like pulling a canadian prime minister.

I don’t know if it’s due to awkward lighting, the unfinished eyes or whatever- but there doesn’t seem to be like any skin texture to the skin.

Are you ready for the Valley of Honor blood elves starting to call each other the N word?

A good day to be a genetics justice warrior

Like a fresh coat of paint
