At the end of the day, it is just a skin texture for a video game race. When you start implying that the fact that the option is only added now/lack of prominent already established characters with the skintones is a sign of classism based on skin colour amongst the Sin’dorei and Blizzard themselves “Implying” something, just to try and push your own opinion on what should be done with already existing NPCs…?
It kind of makes me feel like I am standing on the ground, looking down at a person who’s digging the endless rabbit hole they have jumped down into even deeper.

I say “No” because it’s already an annoying practice to change the skin color of any pre-established character, be it black, white, yellow, green or blue. it’s why the comics industry isn’t doing too good with Iron Man getting remade in to three different versions.
It’d be better to make a new character and make it rise to be something notable. Or do you think it’s better to make Liadrin black because the new character wouldn’t resonate well with everyone, so better ruin an already established character?

If you were aiming at Moody, then my bad. If it was aimed at me, I will still keep my post up as it… Well… It’s fairly true as color-washing characters is an annoying practice.

But yeah, I don’t want to “black wash” any existing characters, don’t really think it’s necessary. Blizzard likely creates most filler NPCs (vendors, enemies, etc) with randomized appearances, so it just means we’ll see more diverse filler. I’d be happy if they added more major PoC characters, yeah, but not at the expense of existing ones by changing their established appearances.

I’m all for introducing diversity but it’s going to be surreal when it’s just suddenly all put into place at once tbqh. It’s something they should have added gradually over the years and to be quite honest, it’s something literally every other MMORPG in existance that I’m aware of, has on offer.
They should re-vamp the entire character creator and make it more modern instead of just giving us more menu items to select. That would be far more impressive and tbh, deserved after all of the crap they keep peddling our way.

This appears to be a bit of a theme with Shadowlands. QOL changes and fanbase oriented additions (in-world GPS for instance), and that’s just from the first Alpha builds.

While I’d say they went a bit overboard with the current ones datamined (Although it could just be a thing you gotta get used to looking at), I’ve got no problem with more variation. Ultimately the point is to have you be able to customize your character, and quite frankly currently every blood elf (And some other races) looks exactly the same with the only noticeable variation being their hair.

The unfortunate thing was that a lot of PoC voice actors got work in BFA, but they were for the various Troll protagonists we came across - I won’t tip that anthill again to save anyone who is playing the Dreadbore Rants About Racial Coding drinking game.
More PoC humans and/or other more human races would be great
