Should Blood Elves get the new diversed human skin tones in SL?

As has historically been the case in Warcraft. Before BfA, only Voljin and WoD Grom had PoC voice actors. After BfA, they have far more in their credits, but again, all are voicing monster races.

What’s more disappointing is Kul Tiras in particular had a lot of black NPCs, but almost all were distractingly voiced by white VA’s (Kul Tiras unlock scenario lady, et al). Was just really disappointing from my perspective to watch; I’m happy that we see very few white VA’s attempting carribean accents as trolls nowadays, just for the sake that it sounds way better, but I wish Blizz would push the boat out some more, especially when they had a new island with mostly human inhabitants.

Since we are talking about minority representation and my country isn’t even a promille of world population, can we FINALLY get a english-Finnish accent voice actor?

Kul Tirans should’ve sounded over the top British, since they’re basicly the brits of Warcraft!

That said, I thought the Zandalari aren’t considered savage?

In-universe, you mean? It depends entirely on who you ask. Ask a Zandalari? Of course the Zandalari aren’t savages! Ask a blood elf? ‘Of course’ the Zandalari aren’t savages. Ask a human? Of course the Zandalari are savages!

Even then, obviously each member of each race won’t hold the same view of them. Hell, some probably don’t care enough about the Zandalari to have even considered whether they are savages or not.

They’re Americans, specifically the puritan settlers who got kicked out of Britain (Gilneas), sailed west and massacred a bunch of ‘savage’ natives to steal their land.

Wait, don’t tell me you’re envious of their relationship? Do you want for Anduin to slap you as well?

No? I want the king of stormwind (a blonde-haired blue-eyed white boy) to stop abusing minority children that he’s coerced into a “relationship”.

I just how that Blizzard’s community feedback story response has reached a point where “Anduin is too pacifist/weak” is rectified by having him just deck a guy in the face.

I see. Let’s meet up at 15:00 near the Stormwind cathedral and start protesting.

Huh, for some reason I remember her as being tanned, but distinctly white, but on inspection now my memory was just being dumb. Maybe I was just confused because her dad (before becoming a true coalskin) was pure mayo.

Here’s some cool Taelia art though. I hope she does come back.

Her complexion looks in-game kinda Indian to me, definitely not caucasian. It’d be cool if they depicted her mother as dark-skinned – even if she’s dead, iirc.

Yeah, the art definitely belies her belies her being white, but that’s the problem with WoW’s human models atm; can’t tell who’s white and who’s just tan. Shadowlands hype.

Supposedly she’s going to meet her daddy in the coming expac. I can’t wait for them to say something like

“Taelia, I have so much to tell you.”
“Father…”

And then they both walk offscreen for a conversation we never get to see or hear.

Something I can’t wait to see happen in some cheezy-cliche-afterwards totally ignored way because they then decide to take Bolvar or Anduin in a different direction and she will be ignored for x expansions after.
