Should fel eruption require fury to use?

I’ve found that in arena PVP I used to not really worry about this because entering arena I would pop immo aura at the start and have a healthy amount of fury to get a stun in early before they could. However ,popping immo aura for fury means that I then cannot use fel rush to close the gap toward the enemy becaues then it would put my inner demon in the wrong place and waste it. And I feel like I’m just uselessly gliding toward them, saving my stun and unable to rush and I need that stun in order to correctly land my inner demon with UBC because they need to be stunned or kept in place for it to land or they will simply move out of the way to avoid it.

It feels odd that we have a resource dependent stun and especially when you have rogues and paladins able to kill you within one stun rotation I’m just not getting my stun in before them and having to trinket and dash away (again wasting UBC) just to survive. It feels like the fights always then end up with me reacting to them, backpedling and popping defensives to stay alive rather than be the one initiating a fight and it doesn’t feel good unless I have a really top notch healer keeping me alive.

Am I doing this completely wrong or does it genuinely feel worse that we can just use immo aura to gain free fury at the start anymore for risk of wasting UBC.

I think u can waste ur first UBC because it’s always better to start the combat with a comfortable amount of fury.
And u’re not supposed to score kill like that ur opponent at the begining.

You can try to use immo aura just before u engage the combat, that grant you 20 fury, that mean enough to use ur fel eruption then u can use fel rush.

Thanks I think maybe I’m just stressing too much about getting that initial burst in more than just pooling fury and coming in with a more decenct resource.

If youre doing Arenas, just get a stack of UBC before the Arena starts and then Immolation Aura and mount up while waiting for your CD after doors have opened.

In BGs you can just stack your fury to 120 with Immolation Aura during Countdown and then go into battle with Immo Aura ready. Just run on a mount towards your opponent or Vengeful Retreat to get the first UBC hit. If you can get both UBCs to land usually your target suffers a lot of damage if they dont trinket.
